Many such formats run stuff like Hornet Queen, which can certainly run away with the game if it gets recurred multiple times.

Oh, that’s a tough question to answer. I think the only way this can feel unbeatable is when your format is slow as molasses. On the other hand, if your format doesn’t offer any stabilizing tools to green (or colors that it would pair with in a Genesis shell), that is ways to prolong the game...

The only cards that come to mind are The Prismatic Piper, Clara Oswald and Faceless One. Restricting yourself to certain colors is a Commander thing, and I don’t think it exists outside of that format?
