I think you have to do the draft off-site and then the owner of the cube loans out the cards to the drafters.

The alpha lands are pretty cheap, or at least were the last time I looked. The Khans fetches are cheap as well but going up, but the Zendikar fetches are pretty pricy as you might imagine. If it's for generating content for CFB, is there a chance they might sponsor some of the cost?

I feel like you could do some sweet stuff with Crucible and Jace/Bloodghast. Whirler Rogue is probably the better pick but I'm in for Crucible.
