I'd have given Feed the Swarm a try at instant.
This would have been sweet with Kicker 4, return to battlefield instead.
Threaten is an effect that scales as the game goes on, so having this be a land early and steal a fatty late is a really cool design.
Mayyyybe. I'm so concerned about losing a turn to a tapped land when you're getting smashed by aggro. It also makes the front side a lot less useful relative to the environment.
The uncommon G and W Spell/Lands from today are pretty sweet. So is the R one.

They've gotten so much better at designing milder tribal cards. Winged Words was great as a baseline Divination and a little bit of a strong draw spell with the payoff. Not entirely tribal, but close enough. Wizard's Lightning and Wizard's Retort are similarly fine cards at baseline.
I dislike...
No one wants to talk about TIERED (nonblack) LANDFALL?
Or about how these are not really worth the hassle, but are a cool untapped design?
Or how this probably has some sweet combo potential somewhere?
Or that we got another Ninja? Sort of...
OK, probably actually no one wants to...
There's been a bunch more spoiled that I don't have the time to make a post for, but my secondary cube is an Onslaught cube that's patiently waiting for enough tribal density and overlap to come to fruition, so I'm excited to see Clerics and Wizards heavily featured. Also,
Yeah, the pro black is way too strong. It's probably 70% black cards. I was just curious how people feel on the power level of the cards if they provided nearly no protection.
I asked this in The Black Cube thread but never got a reply...
What do you guys think of nonblack Swords in The Black Cube?
sword of body and mind
sword of war and peace
sword of fire and ice
sword of truth and justice
Having black removal around means none of the protection is very safe...
This is why I can do 3c: https://riptidelab.com/forum/threads/the-best-jumpstart-cube.3153/
Having the colors split down the middle gives a lot more overlap and the mana bases are prepared for it. Only having the option to go for 4 guilds or 2 triplets makes it so you won't run into some weird...
You can go kind of unfair with it, if you want, too: https://scryfall.com/search?q=cmc>5 power<3&unique=cards&as=grid&order=name
I tried to get rid of power=*, which worked, but it killed the power=0 as well, so the search is bloated.
Went ahead and added:

Revelation
Really wanted to see Rev get some use and have control present. WIll just have 7 WU decks for now rather than delete one.
