    General The stick rule

The regular in my group who just finished his cube a couple days ago is already doing this to get feedback on what he should cut. He's got an account on here, so I'll see if I can get him to chime in.

    Card/Deck [MCD] Equipment

This is pretty much the reason I cut the last sword from my cube. Not because it was too powerful, as it was mostly a pile of do-nothing, but because I sat beside Calvin as his BW aggro deck randomly got steamrolled by a guy who drew the Sword in two out of the three games. I think I was more...

Hurray! I feel less dumb for including Kabira Crossroads in my white pile.

Geez, all this time I didn't even realize sigs were off by default in users' preferences. Thanks for letting me know. I also didn't realize you guys are getting subscribed to threads by default whenever you reply. Yikes!

General 'walkers and "everything costs 4"

Whaaat that's crazy. When you're behind or the game is close it's often not obvious what to do with baby Jace, and sometimes (albeit very rarely) I think it's correct to do neither. Yes, when it's a blowout the right call is readily apparent, but most often I find lil' Jace makes for super...

General 'walkers and "everything costs 4"

I don't know about the most play, but I'm with CML in that Jace Beleren and Garruk Wildspeaker are just about my two favourite walkers, too. Perfect blend of flavourful design, fun gameplay decisions, and being powerful without being oppressive. Garruk, in my books, is as good as it gets for...

    CML's Cube (405, polychromatic)

Well, is there any other colour that wants eight-drops? I've tried stuff outside of green like Bogardan Hellkite, but nobody in my group ever bites. I'd actually love to run a sprinkling of eights, but people here barely even play sevens without the crutch of green ramp. Elesh Norn was a bit...

Those are fantastic suggestions, Lucas. I think the first three are viable, and I can start getting on those immediately. Mobile is a different matter. The version of Xenforo we're on - 1.1 - has jack-all support for mobile, unfortunately, so there's not much we can do to improve the user...

    CML's Cube (405, polychromatic)

In the category of Eight-Drops For Reanimator That Can Realistically Be Cast, I nominate Craterhoof Behemoth, Terastodon, and Woodfall Primus, with an honourable mention going to Griselbrand. I don't know that my blue control decks around here ever want an eight, unless it's like an X spell...

Molten Rain Pillage Avalanche Riders Fulminator Mage Mwonvuli Acid-Moss Acidic Slime Plow Under Eternal Witness I know it's not a real deck. I just keep wishing it could be.

    CML's Cube (405, polychromatic)

To butt in here real quick, I like Daring Skyjek the most out of the suggested three-power two-drops. Cloistered Youth has a real downside, and is pretty vulnerable the first turn it's in play. Accorder Paladin is a fine man, but tends not to survive any combat phase where the opponent's board...

    GBS

You are turning into a regular James Stevenson. Did you hitch any rides off strangers, too? Glad to hear all your cats are alright. I hear some people still don't have power even now, which sounds brutal.

Chris Taylor tearing apart cube lists should be a front page feature.

Yeah, the spoiler tags here aren't the greatest. The main problem is that our forum software, Xenforo, doesn't support spoiler tags, so I'm currently using an add-on. If I find a better one at some point, especially one that supports nested spoilers, I'll switch it over.

Long overdue, but we now have a button for the spoiler tag in the text editor. It's the can't-miss red exclamation mark. Just in time for Christmas, too!

This was a fantastic read. Gonna try it the next time my brother's in town. Also pleased as punch to hear that the games between you and James were such a tight affair. What a cliffhanger!

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I was flipping through a physical pile of cards when I came across Pongify, but Rapid Hybridization is actually what got me thinking. I know you can't always apply lessons from Constructed directly to cube, but I noticed that there aren't any Standard decks using Curse of the Swine, while the...

    Konge's Cube

Consuming Vapors is really sweet here, and helps the control decks stabilize like nothing else. Before Toxic Deluge, Damnation was black's only good mass removal (yep, I said it), but Vapors does a decent impression, while giving you a life buffer to work with. It is obviously lackluster against...
