What's that? Dorks that tap for :w: and :u: obviously incentivize you to run a strict :g::r::b: deck.

I do think this information, if added, should be in signatures. Probably if you look at the Wasteland debate, there's a pretty clear divide based on the power level of the cubes run by posters. There are exceptions though. To quote (lower-power) James from half an hour ago in his living room...

General When Is Fixing Too Good?

I mean, it depends on a lot of factors. Whenever I played it was with the guys who are in the board game shop multiple nights a week playing Magic.

I think I like carver. A 2/2 almost undying is pretty weak for the cost, so you have to get an activation for it to be above the curve. The activation is very not free, and you can still wreck it with the various exile removal spells. Haven't seen it a lot yet though. Dom played it once against...

To summarize the article, fetches are way better for two color aggro. With duals, a two-color player can just use one per cycle, whereas three-color and four-color drafters can use 3 and 6 respectively. With fetches, a two-color drafters can use 7 of the 10. They can fight for a much higher...

General When Is Fixing Too Good?

For me, the worst case scenario for Wasteland is pretty painless. You scoop early and shuffle up again. It's not like when you do a lot of good plays and feel it's all been wasted when a Wurmcoil comes down or some other GRBS. I don't usually feel bad when I lose to Wasteland. I also know that...

Thanks for the feedback. Originally the into was even longer with me summarizing both sides, but I 're-recorded it to make it quicker. Agree that fewer examples were needed. My biggest issue was that Windows Movie Maker didn't work at all for me. In the end I used YouTube's editor to crop and...

I agree. A lot of times a player can play around Wasteland for a turn or two, but will have to give it food eventually. For my environment, I like that Wasteland can be used for sequencing instead of just taking the whole turn, but I know others may disagree.

I'd also add that I am running 5 Brainstorms, which do a non-zero amount of work in allowing a player to adjust the number of lands that they draw. I made another intro to the video (and 10 minutes of studying aggro creatures / decks in standard), but one of the points was: if you're not a...

    General Polycubing and packages

I think complexity is a concern. My cube is already super complex with the polycubing (we probably could use a better name) and ULD. Personally I've always leaned towards building new cubes to explore new design territory rather than sub in different themes randomly from week to week. If I were...
