    Card/Deck Brainstorm as a lynchpin

Fun fact: Conundrum Sphinx is pretty playable already. Run it.

Yeah, those cards are bad. And about 10-thousand other ones.

    Card/Deck Brainstorm as a lynchpin

Yo, how good is Domri? I play him in E-Domain, but...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I tried to re-read the rulebook a while back and couldn't understand why it was so damn complicated. I probably never played a game correctly in my life.

    Card/Deck Brainstorm as a lynchpin

I'm really okay with "splash for card selection", because those games sound really fun. Who doesn't want to get a Brainstorm / Courser / Domri deck going?

    Card/Deck Brainstorm as a lynchpin

Most people already run Preordain/Ponder/Brainstorm, and all of those can be converted at no cost. I could probably run 5 and not really notice an impact. Does blue need depth to do other things if it can filter all day long?

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I liked it at the time, but then I was the 10 year-old playing local tournaments and not really understanding what was going on. I didn't understand anything of the "meta" and just played some decks with cards I thought were good and would always go like 2 - 4 in the Swiss. I remember I would...

    General Why not?

He's emailed me before. He lurks the forums from time to time. The most interesting part of his design is how disconnected from the mainstream he is. Like, he writes his blog and all that jazz but it seems that nobody really comments on it, and he isn't super aware of what others are doing...

    Card/Deck Brainstorm as a lynchpin

In a brainstorm cube I would run Terminus but not Entreat the Angels. I don't think you need more than 20/360 fetches to make Brainstorm useful. It opens up mutli-Delver if you want that, but there's been some debate over whether that's desirable. I love the Sarkhan the Mad, Dark Confidant...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I personally think Clash is a dumb mechanic and it reminds me of some of the super clunky stuff from the original Star Wars CCG. That game also had a card with a "CMC" of pi, but I can't for the life of me remember the name.

    General Single-Color Megasealed

The closest I have done is a 5-player "forced shards" draft. Each player gets assigned a shard, and you can draft whatever you want, but you can only (during gameplay) produce mana of your given shard. So if you want to play Naya and draft Lingering Souls but not flash it back power to you. The...

    Card/Deck Brainstorm as a lynchpin

Love me some Brainstorm, obviously. Maybe it's time to keep working on my Brainstorm-unrestricted Vintage cube...

    General Why not?

Yeah, for reference, the dude who does this basically just 1v1 drafts with a friend all the time, and they're both pretty well versed in the cube's contents. I wouldn't advise this if you play with a lot of less dedicated players.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

At one point in time I ran that Metalcraft cancel and I still feel a little uncomfortable about it.

    Card/Deck Madness Theme

I had some disillusions about Madness possibly being good and in alt-standard we have actual madness decks buildable that are super focused and they're still kind of shit, so I'm not so sure.

    General Why not?

Uh, well, I know somebody who does something like this. Basically, there is a big box of weird narrow / lower power cards that he keeps to the size, and after the draft you can just dig through there to round out your deck. He gets a much bigger deck diversity because people will go deep on...

To be fair if Wizards wants a card to work they just rewrite the rules (ala True-Name Nemesis)

    Card/Deck Life from the Loam

Uh, I hate token creators that create tokens that don't sacrifice for mana.
