General Abstract: What do you wish was better about your cube's design?

Play vs. draw matters less and less as the power level decreases, no?

General Decks that have 3-0'd your cube

Is anybody going to link to the Flanking guys or are we just supposed to already know about these cards nobody cares about?

    General Rethinking Color Mana Curve

I'm convinced that most cubers saw Spikeshot Elder do something useful once and then keep him in for years out of a sense of obligation. I guess he was a little better in SOM draft...

    General Rethinking Color Mana Curve

I don't know if there necessarily is a difference, I just am saying that I don't think anywhere near the magnitude of thought power has been put towards "how to design control" as "how to design aggro".

    General Rethinking Color Mana Curve

Innistrad did indeed have a lot of this going on. It also had an intentional mix of open-ended and linear strategies (e.g. some decks just wanted to buy time with stuff like Silent Departure and figure out the late game later). I think one area where cube design could improve is in thinking...

    General Rethinking Color Mana Curve

I don't think the curves need to be identical (or all that similar) to get the benefits of what you are proposing. I've been a proponent of having attacking decks and controlling decks be possible in all colors. For what it's worth, back when Eric and I were studying retail limited...

I can't imagine not running Bolt. 4 Edge seems fine.

    General Tutors

I think it's important to take a moment to consider the design impact of tutors. You may look at a card like Demonic Tutor and kind of wonder what it's really achieving design wise, and perhaps the biggest benefit is to give decks that require certain pieces some redundancy. I always like when I...

Okay, Brainstorm is great in multiples, and it works with so many interactions. You have decks with Cascade, shuffle effects, Miracles, Delver, Augur of Bolas, Dark Confidant, etc., and it sets up all of those and is super skill intensive. I love it. I don't run any Ponder / Preordain anymore...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

This seems like a really bad Innocent Blood most the time. I think it's possible to convince yourself that there are cute synergies, and those moments may exist, but there's probably not a deck in most cubes that would want it in their 40.

    Jason Waddell's Cube

Looks like you misdrafted. You need more mana dorks and 2-drops, and less Counterspell / Top.

Is Prohibit good? I've never seen it played outside of Pauper Cloudpost decks.

Yeah, sorry, I've been super AWOL these days. Non-Magic things taking priority in life these days. I am so casual.
