Yeah, that's an interesting point. I already had Oxid Ridge in there as an interesting card in a spawn-token environment. Bladehold works with Populate, but the card has some other issues. The loosest part of the design right now is the black section. I don't have a great deal of direction...

Primeval Titan is more important to the design. Fits well, but other cards fit better.

Well, I think the first priority would be the ability to save a list more easily? Or would I have to keep track of the diff link? The main concern is that I have to put it somewhere for people to be able to see it. Maybe I can just save half-blank diff links for now? If all I have to do is C/P...

General Why did you start cubing?

I have a number of reasons. Curiosity. Not having to deal with the tournament-going populace. Compromise. And perhaps the most appealing was being able to break from Wizards' business model of cyclical planned obsolescence. The constant scramble to obtain cards and tension between your wallet...

Oh, P.S. we can embed Youtube videos in threads. In case you were worried. And if you need some music for your company's on-hold line, may I make a recommendation? EDIT: Actually, let's open this up to the audience. I defy any of you to find better on-hold music. How could you even get...

I find it genuinely surprising the number of archetypes that can legitimately be described as "a trap" in the MODO cube. It's not just people Akbarring either.

One thing I remember thinking about Hagon when I first entered Magic is that he makes it sound like he thinks winning Magic tournaments 12 years ago is the most important thing you can achieve as a human being.

That was a pretty ballsy splash for Elspeth. Looks like that drafter got 5 white sources though, so maybe it works.

    Article ChannelFireball: Utility Land Draft

What I try to think about is creating an interesting decision dynamic in both the main cube and the utility land draft. Fetchlands, Shocks, ABUs, Wastelands are all in high demand and fiercely competed for by all players. Then in the utility draft, my current set-up has this nice tension...

    Eldrazi Domain Cube

I've had this itching feeling lately that maybe the set shouldn't have a "flat" structure, in the sense that maybe not all color pairings should be equally represented in my multicolor section. Some of the cards feel super important to the design, and some feel like they're just taking up space.

Uh, so this card exists. Anybody have experience with it? Zombie + Treefolk? murmuringCrawler.dec? I feel like I'm priced in here.

I currently work in this setting: It lets me see things clearly, take notes, easily make swaps, and is lightweight. But then I have to do all sorts of BS to get my list on cuesbey or any other site. I'd rather work in this setting. And just be able to delete and edit cells as though it...

Well, the original rationale was: these cards are narrow and only are worth playing in the right circumstances, so we want to have lots of narrow ones that end up in the right hands. Like, it's okay for us to have a land that people only want to use 10% of the time here. Once we have people...

    Article ChannelFireball: Utility Land Draft

Ah, you're going 5 picks? Might be a lot, especially if your stack is only 45 cards. I would make sure your stack is deep enough so that people are still excited to make their last pick. With 5 and a small stack you might have many people who just take something and leave it in their sideboard...

Okay Rob, I don't know if this is your wheelhouse, but here's my #1 cube related need: A good place for me to store and edit my list. Both TappedOut and Deckstats are a complete pain, as they transform your list into just 360 card names one after another. It's for this reason I do all my...
