I slot my cards into the place where they'll actually get played. No one in my playgroup with a decent curve plays snapcaster at turn 2, and most worthwhile cards to flashback costs at least 2. To properly inform myself if people can draft decks that have a good curve, and that they'll play...

Granted, but if you only have 1 wildfire and a couple of 5 toughness creatures, would you leave this one out? I certainly wouldn't.

Conundrum Sphinx Djinn of Wishes Future Sight source. I think this is a tricky theme to get right! Conundrum sphinx seems pretty strong as a 4 cmc 4/4 flyer.

I think one of the prerequisites for this theme to work as a subtheme is a critical mass of black lifepay cards, and then add enough incidental lifegain cards and 2-3 "matters" cards.

I've actually slotted Snapcaster in as a 4-drop in my lists before because of this very reason!

I like Prophet because it reads a lot better. It also has a pretty big butt for blocking if you have any instans.

I made a scryfall search here for all white creatures with cmc<=4 and "when ~ enters the battlefield" for your viewing pleasure :). Might be easier to determine "worth blinking" yourself based on the search result.

mikaeus, the lunarch A little bookkeeping exercise; what is the casting cost for mikaeus? I'm guessing it's mostly cast at like, 5 cmc? Since most people would probably build up some board and then cast it, rather than casting it for 2 cmc.

I do run a lot of incidental artifact token makers, but also a bunch of artifacts, so I might start off with The Antiqiues War and then see how it feels. If people don't end up with that many actual artifacts in their artifacts decks, I might switch over to Spy Network. Thanks yall!
