Also, is the new theme for these return-to sets that the plane ends up completely fucked? re: innistrad.

Might as well have called this "Nahiri, fucking pissed". Quite like the support for a WR equipment theme!

Yeah, the arcanist is fucking sweet! There's so much play to it with every color. This is such a potential thread in the coming weeks.. "UG TOL Fblthp deck"

This really is one of the most Johnny cards isn't it. Casting that card from your library probably isn't that good, it's more that you can manage to cast it from your library.

Yes, but it has a real effect on how our drafters actually draft! It isn't just some kind of curiosity, there's going to be an actual tangible relationship to what kind of draft experience people will have. I kinda like these new walkers! They feel like more of a build around than pure value...

But that's easy for us to say, who think about cube and design every now and then. For a lot of the players that draft our cubes, they have a much more visceral experience. "Oh, this looks like a simic card" as the common first impression among our drafters isn't that far of a stretch, is it?

I did find it a bit peculiar that they didn't show her becoming this skeleton general? I read it after having watched the trailer, but it could've been communicated that she was in fact defying bolas. I just thought she'd stolen a bunch of skeletons from Bolas but got toasted.

I'm a fan of it, but I do find it cute that mtg really has mirrored what Marvel has done with the avengers, culminating in a literal dusting of one of the central characters.

I have to say, these no-ult walkers are really nice. Brings down the complexity a little and makes them feel more fair? They can't really run away and threaten to insta-win the game .

I'm just excited about them seemingly closing this chapter. Opens up for some exciting possibilities in mtg sets going forward.

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

This is an endless debate, but I'm going to advocate for running flashback cards as monocolored. While they fit best in their color pair, they are so in a different league of splashability compared to actual gold cards that I don't see why the flashback card should use up a gold slot. I'd say...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

Man, I'd just run both cards. Glory of Warfare seems like a really sweet card, and Rally could work as a psuedo 2nd copy.

I like that those cards pair kinda well with trample as well, pairing them fairly well with green and to an extent red!

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Isn't it possibly because you're attacking your opponents tempo? So you're opening up for a closure of the game, whereas both the other two cards only work to build up the board or rebuy an effect or sort of stall out.

    General Advice on Smoothing

I think I have to agree, it's not hard to argue that this is a case of conditional probability (having the card and being able to cast it).
