Yes, probably. But it'll also destroy the x/1 creatures player which is why it's way to swingy arguably.

But not you've made the assumption that you're experience is the definitive experience and that we shouldn't have this discussion. I'm not playing other peoples cubes, so I'm not primarily interested in those meta games. It's possibly arbitrary, but as I make the choice of not wanting a solved...

Both of those points feel like assumptions and/or just based on taste, would you care to elaborate on why it is a "non-existent problem"?

    General [Design Discussion] Perfect Imbalance

Yes, I agree. I could reason that it is desirable because a solved meta is undesirable and that changing the meta avoids that problem. But I think I'm making some assumptions? I usually try to fall back on the thumb rule that we want to maximize the number of meaningful decisions we can...

Isn't this essentially that we want to avoid the roshambo rock-paper-scissors? The kind of meta game that boils down to "Am I playing rock? Great, most of the field is scissors today!".

I'd also like to note that these meta game cycles as described here (A->B->C->A) can be seen as an oscillation. An oscillation is either stable and continous to cycle indefinitely, or there is some damping that causes the oscillation to slowly die out. Now, oscillation is usually describing...

It deviates even less now than it did a few weeks ago. I think the problem was partly that I drafted a 6 man with some very important archetype cards in the leftover 90 cards (partially accidentally baiting a player into drafting a reanimator deck that by chance barely had any of its card in the...

    General [Design Discussion] Perfect Imbalance

But isn't part of what makes this metagame happen the fact that you get different strategies, depending on what priorities (what picks) the players make with the resource pool your cube represents during a draft? Kind of like how a "highlander" moba (no double of the same hero on the same team)...

    General CBS

Probably. One comment I got was that Pod was an auto pic. I think maybe the way I want the pod decks to play out is these synergy centric combo decks that assembles its pieces with the help of the tutoring of pod. I was killed a really cool way by a pod player podding up his falkenrath...

Some of those feel a bit hamhanded but some artifact removal might be one way to do it. The others have the draw back of hitting mana bases, which may or may not be something you'd wanna do.

Pod has been doing exceptionally well, either 3-0ing or doing really well. It won last draft vs a zoo deck that was pretty fast in the finals leading to both the pod player and another person to ask me to boot the card from the cube. Now I know I don't have my cube list up, but in general are...

I really like the idea of picks. It actually introduces a way to digest the huge list, since it tells you as a drafter that "these cards have more potential, but are going to cost you more". So you can sort of weigh in wheter you want more of this kind of effect or just that single powerful one.
