    Nanonox's 1vs1 cube

I don't think Channel is a good card even when it autowins games. Just the double green cost is enough to make it extremely narrow. It doesn't just lock you to one colour, it locks you in green and artifacts because otherwise you don't have enough coloured sources to do anything. All your...

Erik's "The cool side of Magic" cube

I haven't seriously thought of it, I'm not sure of how it would work, but I'll do some research. I dislike the LoTR land cyclers because they are extremely high picks, I'm not surprised one of them is already banned on Legacy. They also simplify some decks too much. I used to run Winota, but...

Erik's "The cool side of Magic" cube

Stax was a success, but there are still a bunch of open slots in my cube that aren't doing anything. Why not make me any random suggestions or replacements? Any archetypes or ideas I could try to support? Rust Harvester Hedron Crab Summon: Good King Mog XII Felidar Retreat Murktide Regent Field...

    High-speed Two-headed cube?

I've been thinking for a while that, while my normal cube is fun, playing in teams could be more of a hit than playing on your own. And this lead me to think, what would I like that format to be like? And I think what I would like the most, is a format where palyers are constantly throwing...

    Oleg's synergy cube

Some random cut suggestions: Arcbound Prototype - This is mostly a 2/2, way below your likely power level. Kataki, War's Wage - This is a brutal anti-artifact card, will just make synergy decks sad. Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker - This effect doesn't quite work, you have Windborn Muse or even...

    General Fight Club

Aetherflux Reservoir has quite a few problems Tendrils doesn't. 1) It needs to be played first, which is awkward. 2) It can be destroyed and countered, which Tendrils can't. 3) It cannot be recurred with Yawghmoth's Will or Snapcaster Mage I don't think either will be played "for value"...

The body, no question. The life gain isn't going to matter.

Card/Deck Broken cards for lower power

It's an Urza Block cube, though. I also can't imagine Mom not being amazing, though! Recurring Nightmare seems only slighty more pwoerful than Diabolic Servitude until you try to remove it :(

Card/Deck Broken cards for lower power

Cheat spells are only as good as their targets. I've actually cut Sneak Attack from my cube because, as I had cut my targets to mostly 6 mana spells, it just didn't do much. Note that Reanimate on a 4 drop is still amazing, though. Bazaar is a mediocre card, you need good support to compensate...

    General Fight Club

Sevinne's Reclamation, no question. It working from the graveyard and hitting all kinds of permanents make it a much more interesting, playable and synergetic card.

    General CBS

I do not find most planeswalkers appealing from a gameplay perspective. Most are repeated card value engines, like a Jayemdae Tome with a Nekrataal stapled. They tend to be powerful, good-stuff cards that win the game on their own if not dealt with. Regarding blockers, it's a common, yet...

Squee starts with an Ancestral Recall, I consider Titania (+2 cards at the start, you may play an extra land per turn) to be the most powerful card in magic.

Erik's "The cool side of Magic" cube

So, I decided to add Mishra's Workshop and Sphere of Resistance on a whim and...they work? They have suddenly made borderline cards that costed 3 mana or stuff like Goblin Welder have a real home. This is one of the best example decks I've drafted. It has powerful stuff, but it doesn't seem...

Sunken Palace Anything cool to do with this or is it just goodstuff?

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I want to run some acceleration for Staxy or Big Mana decks, but I don't want neither City of Traitors or Ancient Tomb because they easy picks and, rather than help an archetype, they just make already good decks better. So what about Mishra's Workshop? Mishra's Workshop I hope it would enable...

General Alchemy nonsense / "Seek" mechanic

Pearl Collector Pearl Collector requires you to gain life, which is a narrow effect you may not have access to. Coupled with its mana cost of three, it may take a while to get the mox which makes it far less impactful. In the end, you jump through a lot of hoops to give your creatures...

    General [ECL] Lorwyn Eclipsed

I still don't understand why there's nonsense like "boons" when the game already includes the functionally identical, paper-proven emblems. Elvish Elegy Elvish Elegy is great, simply because it's one mana. Given the way the game has evolved, two mana card shifting spells like Impulse simply...

General Alchemy nonsense / "Seek" mechanic

The main problem with Alchemy is that, they are so obsessed with justifying making them only digital that they add crap to what would otherwise be a great design. Fortunately, there are some cards that not only function in paper, but have already been printed in paper: Sigardian Evangel De...

Erik's "The cool side of Magic" cube

Some random thoughts: Oscorp Industries This is the only card that gives you card advantage without costing you a spell slot. Guide of Souls -> Giant Killer White had too many good 1-drops, making it too easy to draft aggro. I'm getting Giant Killer back in, because a tapper is unique, the...

    General [ECL] Lorwyn Eclipsed

Yeah, going to the face is a big problem design-wise because even a bunch of mediocre spells can all be put together to create a powerful burn deck. Even if pure burn isn't viable, it de facto gives aggro decks far more range, limiting for how long a game can go on before they inevitably win.
