yeah with token themes or like "small creature value midranged" it might be a fine way to get more out of your turns. At very least, it is a white removal spell that is not an enchantment or OP. It therefore benefits graveyard garbage, control decks, and spells matter (DELVER).

with six mana in play and 4 cards in your graveyard it makes 3 2/2s tapped. 4 mana and six cards does the same. I think you want urborg for this bad decree. if you are willing to sink a million cards into enabling it I feel like it shouldn't be that expensive to make tapped 2/2s

I've seen it in a couple cube tutor drafts. It was pretty awful most times I picked it up, but maybe AEther Searcher into Banisher Priest isn't actually awful.
