Maze of Ith is miserable to play against. It's a permanent removal spell that gets super duper OP with board wipes. They have to overcommit to get through Maze, then you wrath, then they have to overcommit to get through Maze... (I think you see where this is going)

I got Overwatch, can't decide if it's good or not. Some aspects I really don't like, but there's no denying it's well made. Still think Shadowrun was a better class-based shooter.

My cube. It's a splashable 3-mana Cryptic. Uh, it's great when it hits, and this is cube, nobody is playing creatureless. Pretty good as a late game hard-counter, early game you don't want to hold it up without some alternate instant-speed play available.

One game revolved around me planning to chain Cryptic -> Eternal Witness -> Cryptic, but I got blown out by Exclude. :(

You're making some convincing arguments. I'll see if I can set Halo aside to try out a new shooter.

I wasn't like a huge fan of TF2, but had some fun pubbing around as Soldier / Scout. I did love Shadowrun, which was a class-based shooter with a huge skill cap and all sorts of abilities that linked together in creative ways. Also, I would be a plebe and buy it for Xbox One.

So... should I buy Overwatch?

My mana was pretty great, the splash felt fairly free. I think I played one basic swamp? My deck felt a bit light on meat and answers, and all the removal came from black. Would have had to draft very differently to get UG to function properly.

I think Sun Titan and Hero of Bladehold qualify as win conditions. I do like that you were able to field a straight-up functional two color deck.

All the hype for Overwatch makes me really sad that Shadowrun didn't catch on. That was the most addicting, innovative team-based game I've ever played. Such brilliant design, that was panned in its era for "not having single player".
