Card/Deck Tezzeret (either one) and making them work in cube

Epochrasite is a mensch. There are so many incidental ways to 'activate' it - Unearth/cheap reanimation, blink, Reveillark, early sac effects. Perilous Myr is sweet. Lightning Greaves never seems to be talked about given just how good it is. Maybe it's just taken for granted that it's...

    Card/Deck Counterspells

I loathe Spell Pierce with the passion of a thousand Culling Suns. I don't think UW Flash is anywhere close to impossible. You can't have a deck that plays almost entirely at instant speed as in Standard, but you don't need to take it that far.

Sets What cards from Theros are you playing?

It's not that hard to turn on Thassa, you just need some decent UU 2-drops. Frostburn Weird and Tidebinder Mage are both fine, you can push Voidmage Prodigy, etc.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Chronicler of Heroes is not a thing in Standard or in Cube afaict Teferi is sweet if you like flashing in Thassa or Master of Waves or that sort of thing.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Slash Panther Is this former Vintage staple a possible Cube card? It costs 4, yes, but a 4-drop that every colour has access to might take the place of multiple 4-drops across various colours. Your UB Tempo deck can play this just as easily as a red deck can.

    Card/Deck Vamps

why would anyone think about Commander The main problem with Vampires is that if they all had different creature types only Highborn (and Nocturnus if you're going that far) would be affected, so unless you have exactly that card it doesn't feel like you're actually exploiting tribal synergies...

Sets What cards from Theros are you playing?

Purphoros and Thassa are very good. Erebos is neat. Nylea is passable in every sense of the word, Heliod is pretty bad. /2cents

how could Greater Gargadon not be successful?!

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Speculation was mainly good in Constructed because you could double/triple up on whatever flashback spell was important e.g. Roar of the Wurm in grindy matchups in UG Madness, or Lava Dart in the sweet Speculation Storm deck. Cathodion seems like a card that I'd include because it looks cool...

    General Storage and sleeves

I have black standard UltraPros atm and I'm desperate to upgrade, they just feel so clumsy to shuffle and the texture is all wrong.

Article ChannelFireball: Ghost of Cubing Future

    - One of the problems with Cube is that the constraints Limited places upon you force out cards like Barren Moor that do a lot of work to make games more interesting but aren't unique or impactful enough to earn a spot in the Cube or consideration in the draft. The Utility Land draft is a nice...

Stories like that are why I love Nameless Inversion, even without Haakon.

I agree that it should be pushed in Black: Nefarious Lich fully endorse Horizon Chimera

    Card/Deck [MCD] Equipment

I found SoBaM to be lackluster, to the extent that I cut it for not being good enough. One hit doesn't do anything, even two hits isn't good enough most of the time if the milling doesn't kill them, and in any case two hits with a Sword should be enough to wrap up the game (and is, I would...

    Card/Deck Counterspells

I mentioned Draining Whelk, that's a great card!

    Card/Deck [MCD] Equipment

Haven't played with Plate Mail, would like to although costing 4 is a real downer. Lifestaff was a fun and competitive card in my Cube circa 2011, haven't touched it in a long time though. Lens is garbage imo. O-Naginata is more of an archetype-defining card than a generic aggro weapon...

    Card/Deck Counterspells

Someone else who loves Coldsnap! The main tension with cheap counterspells is that I don't want to clog up blue with yet more 3+ CMC spells, but it's very easy for blue to become clearly the best colour if there are too many Counterspell-esque cards. I think singleton Cubes actually achieve a...

    General Designing Split Cards

Oh boy. I was working on a split-card Cube a few years ago, so I dug it out and listed some of the cards below (I was fine with permanent/permanent split cards, as it lets you do some truly bizarre things, but I can understand wanting to stay away for clarity's sake). Some of these were...

General 'walkers and "everything costs 4"

Try Vess. 5(/6) is a nice amount of starting loyalty and if you untap with it they have to throw a ton of time/resources into taking her down. Alternatively you can just Vamp + Fog, or Vamp + untap which ends the game on the spot (also -2 for Bonfire/Entreat/Terminus, huehuehue)

General 'walkers and "everything costs 4"

If Jace, Memory Adept is the older brother, sure. Otherwise, every U planeswalker has more play to it than Jace B, but it's still a great Cube card. I like Tamiyo a fair bit, but if you're going with 1 in each colour you can't go wrong with the original Lorwyn 'walkers IMO.
