General Fighting Disappointment: Lets fix some cards that were almost sweet

Otherwise that'd be a pretty broken un-card. :) "Tap my Hallowed Fountain for blue, 'birds of paradise', draw a card."

Siren could be playable if its stats weren't crap and a half

Say a creature? Should that say "sac a creature"?

Seems powerful. Maybe annoyingly so. I feel like it should have to pay some amount of life to use that. Who knows.

    Card/Deck Revisiting Zombies

My main problem with military intelligence is that you have to trigger it three times until you really get better value than a Night's Whisper, which was pretty marginal in most of our cubes. It's a fun idea but I don't know if it really comes together. Will have to test.

Someone should build a draft format consisting of only cards that cantrip.

Don't worry guys I figured it all out: Rooftop Storm Gravecrawler Goblin Bombardment

This is probably not where we want to go but it is interesting.

    Card/Deck Revisiting Zombies

This last idea I think is probably the best direction. Zombies is capable of going wide and fuel for the deck never hurts. It's not really an option for the deck to take a controlling role because the core of the archetype is built around creatures that say "can't block". Opposition is a card...

    Card/Deck Revisiting Zombies

I'm actually pretty optimistic about Ophiomancer. My cube could use some additional anti-aggro, and the decks are so removal heavy I think they'll be able to cope. Also the card is pretty nutty in a sacrifice deck. Ping them with Goblin Bombardment on their turn and yours. I'm not nuts about...

Screecher: I think a 3/2 flier with unearth will see play. It fits right into a ton of blue tempo decks. Captain: Yeah, it's not getting played outside of those decks. But it's currently the best incentive I have to get the color to play blue so I'm willing to make that concession for now...

General Riptidelab mostly-custom cube attempt #1

I have an objection to creating 360 unique cards. Imagine how much reading you do the first time you draft a set, perhaps even after browsing through the visual spoiler. It's a huge complexity / barrier to entry burden. Uh, I was thinking of things that say like "if an opponent lost life this...

General Riptidelab mostly-custom cube attempt #1

I was thinking, is there a way we can make it more interesting of a decision on when people crack fetchlands? Some sort of Bloodthirst-esque mechanic? For the beginning it's probably most useful to focus on establishing an approximate mechanical space with appropriate overlaps, and dig into...

    Card/Deck Revisiting Zombies

Yeah, I could. I'm just kind of going by feel at the moment. Creature type errata has been used by Cooperfauss before, I'm sure it would work here too. In the chat I had the really stupid idea of a Delver that became a Zombie when it flipped. Obviously that's a really stupid idea and I've put...

Sorry, to clarify, the card either: a) stayed in your deck or b) got retired A tutored card would not go back to the collection.

The way we played it is you got to choose, so long as you presented a legal deck for the start of the next game.
