General Decks that have 3-0'd your cube

Yeah, there's nothing about that deck that doesn't seem bad. Extra laughs at Mentor of the Meek in that deck. There are like, two cards in that deck that can actually win games. Actually probably just one. Nephalia Drownyard.

    The OkCupid Experience

The thing I spent the most time thinking about these is how much information to present. Not from a privacy perspective, but more from like, reading about other people's dates can be super boring especially if the writer bogs you down in details. I err on the side of keeping things short and...

Card/Deck Why Are All Six Drops In Magic Terrible

Tinker-Staff is actually a fun non-broken line in Hannes' cube.

Threat density. Or utter lack thereof.

I used to have a GW lands deck that was semi-broken but really fun. Someone remind me to post about it tomorrow.

    The OkCupid Experience

The funniest part was when the girl was like "no, I can't I'm busy, but also I have a boyfriend". It was like a two-step let down, packed into two sentences. "I can't go out with you this Friday. Or ever."

    The OkCupid Experience

At some point the analogy I came up with was that going on OKC first dates is like doing Diablo end-game runs. Most runs will yield nothing, and you just have to keep grinding away by volume. But once you stop enjoying the grind, it ceases to be a fun hobby and starts to feel like a job. I'll be...

"Bros before prose" is the best thing you've ever written on this site.

I always wanted to stroke off while combining Mitotic Slime with Goblin Bombardment.

It's pretty greedy but I wish Preyseizer had haste.

Mycoloth was good enough there, but I had it taken out to reduce the number of board-clogging elements.

    Card/Deck Devour

Let me say that, even in my cube specifically designed around low power token sacrificing (Eldrazi Domain), these guys were kind of turds. I wanted to believe, but...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Yeah, Breaking Point seems really bad. Do or Die is a cool card though. It's like, an edict at worst if they have at least two creatures? But does nothing if they have only one? Interesting design.

    General guild and color balance

I forgot the context of this thread and thought you guys were debating about Nightmare.

General BenS's draft article / Cube

That's not really a statement Eric. The expected number of drafters in a given color is 3.5 if players on average are running 2.1875 colors in their decks.

Sets What cards from Theros are you playing?

Strange that Gravecrawler's price hasn't dropped post-rotation. Trunkers to blame?

General BenS's draft article / Cube

If I see Prime Time I force golgari big stuff and 3 - 0 without fail. Maybe I don't empathize.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Yeah, I'm not so keen on Gifts Ungiven. Capsize is kind of a fun card in that tension zone between three and six mana where sometimes people cast it because they really need a bounce spell. I've even seen it get cast without buyback when the player was at 6 mana because they needed to do two...

General Print this Wizards! (So I can put it in my cube)

Yes, I agree with all of these, but still imagine that in a large percentage of use cases the two cards produce functionally similar game states. I've only actually cast the card a few times and every time it was just a straight up Armageddon that locked up mana while the attacking player closed...
