Assuming an 8 man pod, 360 would mean that every card within the cube will be seen throughout the draft. I feel like 6-7 wrath effects is just fine at that size. I've got quite 2 wa few more in my 405 list (soon to be 420), which makes sense since you won't be seeing them all the time. You also...

I prefer controlling decks that grind out games and close them out in the late game. That has been my preference when playing Cube and I usually default to that provided I get the right fixing. I love playing various blends of 3 color control decks. Sometimes I'll get a more controlly draw-go...

Bounding Krasis has been pretty sweet for me the 2 two times I've used it in Cube and the handful of times that I've drafted it. Worst case is that it chumps and buys you some time. Best case is wrecking your opponents tempo and/or surprise trades. I'm a fan of Cowabunga Lizard.

Sees zero play in commander, I've never seen in once in my life. It was a sideboard card in Modern a while back, not as good anymore. I think it's just price memory right now and the fact that the only printing was in Future Sight.

Draft. P1P1. GOTTEM. But for real, fat packs are likely the way to go since I think that's what they did last time. I honestly can't wait to P1P1 a foil full art. It's going to happen.

Geez, this cube is basically Magic: The Midranging. Dunno how they plan on pulling it off.

Narset is cool, but bizarro Domri is hard to make work. She needs a very particular deck to work. Venser is better, but he's deceptively powerful as well. That minus is so underrated.

I like Steadfast the best, more options when playing with him. Goldmane is usually just one mode here and I guess Caller is pretty solid.

Yeah, I like the idea behind cubes like these. I have my normal cube which I devote most of my resources towards, but I've been floating around the idea of a 2nd cube in my head over the last couple of months. I've just been too lazy to lay it out on paper and actually put in the time to...

I've never been a fan of saccing lands for effects unless it's like an all-in sort of thing to try and win that turn. It's too steep a cost for me, but then again I might value mana too much (which is weird to think about). He does seem like a sweet way to protect a threat in the later game when...

Me and a friend went one-on-one with these two lists we generated from Cubetutor to get a glimpse of the new Origins cards in action. Probably going to get an actual 8 man going sometime this weekend so I'll have better card impressions then. Both of these decks were pretty sweet: Ones 1...

Unholy bump. What was the word on this guy? I've picked up a copy and don't know if I want to both running him or have him look pretty in a binder. Walker-wise I am at: Ajani Steadfast Gideon Jura Jace Beleren Jace, the Mind Sculptor Tamiyo, the Moon Sage Liliana of the Veil Chandra...

I just played Sphinx's Tutelage in Origins draft in a U/B deck. I only saw it twice in the 3 matches that I played (on the play, T3), but it lead to wins each time. Neither time was it especially stupid. You'd be surprised by how often it whiffs and only mills two. It changed the game for me...

I'd go Crusader. It just leads to free wins against certain decks.

Just don't explicitly look to support it and it should be fine. It's easy to break in a 40 card format. I'd like incidental synergies to pop up with this, not a person going all-in on the plan. This is way better as an additional means of winning a game, not as the primary win-con. If you have...

Sweet, I pulled a foil copy a while back and wanted to try it out. Bumping up my cube to 420 (ayyyyy) and I've been looking for interesting enchantments to try out. Comboing this with brainstorms and maybe even Jeskai Ascendancy seems like it would be super sweet.

That is true. For some reason I thought it was a dorky 1/1 or something. Oh well.

Since Curio + Sower are colorless, you loop them back and forth bouncing each other via Animar cost reduction. Animar gets a counter each time, they cost one less, until free. Repeat x infinity for shits and giggles. Animar needs to already have some counters on it though.

Let's not forget that this is the Duel Deck face card for the Fall set. They haven't always been the best cards to represent the set. I like that they're exploring different mechanics to represent the Eldrazi, this exile from library seems pretty cool. I'm interested in seeing the more pushed...

Is this the new Annihilator? It's kinda cool. Exile 4 lands off the top of your library, play land for turn, hit you with my 10/11 Steppe Lynx. GOTTEM.
