Just to add in, I do really like both
Brotherhood Regalia and
Silver Shroud Costume. I think it's a matter of taste, personally.
On a separate note, I've been rotating a bunch of freshly-printed 1-drop creatures in white this year. It's been a good year for them! I feel like I've swapped in a new one at least once every set. Especially for me with my legends-matter theme, this has been a gluttonous amount, with
9 of the 12 legendary 1-drops in white in the entire game having been printed in 2025.
While they're not always getting swapped for one another, it's basically been this kind of progression, ignoring
Descendant of Storms who has not been threatened for removal once since getting spoiled.

Basri is great (I especially like having cycling on a
Savannah Lions!) but I don't like the needless complexity attached to the cycling and I don't want a unique token, particularly one that's so similar to
Ocelot Pride. I also have been trying to cool it on the volume of Savannah Lions since I've been trying to soften Boros aggro.
Stiltzkin, Moogle Merchant was fun. I like having lifelink on 1mv dudes for the sake of triggering my burgeoning life gain matters minor theme, and he can turn your opponent's removal into card draw opportunities. Still, pretty low-impact, especially at my power level.
Zack Fair is just good. Gets in on both the legends-matter and +1/+1 themes, and one-time-only indestructible for a single mana that doesn't require a tap? Not bad utility. I don't like the art at all, but I'd still be happy with this guy.
Lightstall Inquisitor just didn't do it for me. The ability is a bit more confusing to read than the payoff would suggest, and Vigilance is great but maybe is turning the dial a little too high on the 1-drop slot. The biggest sin is that it's not terribly synergistic with what else I have going on.
I'm now running
Soul Warden, but it'd be
Aunt May if I had the OM1 version in paper. I may only run 3 spiders, but I like the legendary-matters and the extra toughness more than gaining life from my opponents' creatures (particularly with
Fire Magic and
Iroh's Demonstration recently added, and the additive distraction isn't too bad here. Still, by this point I began to feel bad that these new 1-drops weren't even making it to an actual Cube draft on average!
Then came
The Duke, Rebel Sentry. It's another version of Zack Fair that gives hexproof over indestructible. For white? I'm not sure which I prefer. But I liked that he stuck around instead of sacrificing himself, and didn't ask for mana to do it. Losing the ability to do the ability his first turn out is rough though, and he can't do it if he attacks. I think I prefer Zack, but it's close.
Which brings us to
Momo, Friendly Flier. I like this card a lot...in theory! I don't have a
ton of flying, but I have enough, and I like that he suggests a flyers deck alongside the recently-acquired
Rinoa, Angel Wing, who I've been really enjoying so far (more for the
Lifeline ability than as a flying lord, but hey, it helps). Ok, counting again, it's ~80 flyers in my Cube. That's plenty, yeah. Not all of them benefit from the cost reduction, but it seems reasonable, and I like having 1-drop flyers in general.
...which brings me to
Momo, Playful Pet, which feels just as good if not better? Man, I was close enough to testing
City Pideon that I feel like this Momo could bring something real to the table.
Shoutout to
Curious Farm Animals, a totally respectable card. And hell,
Nesting Bot would have made the list if I was willing to tolerate "Start your engines!". Design is great otherwise.
I guess I don't know which one of these all I like more? This has been quite the journey for me. I would say I'm on
Momo, Friendly Flier right now, but I feel a bit of uncertainty about it, which I guess is what happens when you get so many 1-drops printed in the same year you realize you may have too many.
