General Fun Budget Cube Cards

I am looking for fun cards for a draft environment, for under, say, 50 cents each. I want to build a stock "starter cube" list that can be built for ~$100.

revised duals + your printer

panoramas are anything but etb

the answer beyond that is "it depends," like the defects range from tolerable (IA / AP painlands) to "shoot me" (cloudcrest lake and friends). there's also the relatively cheap LOR tribal ones like murmuring bosk and gilt-leaf palace

edit: darkwater catacombs and fungal reaches also have cycles

i would be interested in how a pauper cube would look based on the common design principles we set out here. for me, my cube is not my cube without the fetch and the dual

anyone tried tendo ice bridge?

I don't really find Pauper to be interesting. I'm not rarity restricting, but price is certainly a concern. The audience for such a thing is somebody who has never owned a cube before. Maybe it's a gift to a 15-year old or a broke college student. $100 for all the drafting you can get. So things like Murmoring Bosk are way to exorbitantly expensive. This is a price-matters exercise. I'll run 25c Mythics.

It's not unreasonable that fixing in this format are things like clue stones, and other 3rd-tier mana rocks. Mono-colored aggro has been the intro deck of choice for so long that maybe the pool should be constructed around that assumption.

It's not unreasonable, but I wonder if the set isn't better served by Guildgates and Bouncelands and the like. I'd also like 10-card cycles if possible.

Right now I have:
10x Guildgate
10x Bounceland
5x Vivid
5x Panorama
Terramorphic Expanse
Evolving Wilds
Transguild Promenade
Rupture Spire
Mirrodin's Core

Other land options are the fetchlands:
Flood Plain
Bad River
Rocky Tar Pit
Mountain Valley
Grasslands

and stuff like Kazandu Refuge.

35 fixers feels like a decent density for a starter cube.

Also, the Shard lands are way too expensive for this.

Cheep sweepers will mostly be red.

Breath of Darigaz
Hurly-Burly
Rain of Embers
Rolling Temblor
Rupture
Steam Blast
Tremor
Volcanic Spray
Yamabushi's Storm
Rough // Tumble (This is a find!)

Over 28c

Pyroclaysm
Whipflare (Why is this 70c?)

Sadly the mirage fetches are 45c each, which is actually really pricy. The refuges work, the commander decks dropped their price a bit.
Cloudcrest Lake is a whopping 9 cents! Get em in there! There's EVEN TWO CYCLES!!!
When dross like Tremor is still 20c, we need to dig deep on cheap cards, since very little is going to fall below that average.

Ice bridge is pretty alright, considering. It's almost 1$ though (87 on TCG player)

For reference, here's all lands cheaper than your average:
Scabland is on that list, and I think could make a decent name for this cube :p

And sad as it is normally, the bouncelands are all around 25-30c, they might make good here

Do you think Cloudcrest, Scabland and co. are better than the lands that I already have?

You're at 10% manafixing right now, maybe it could use a bump.
Maybe the refuges

Yeah, but I wonder if there might be more "fun add" by tossing in some Innistrad spell lands.

I will also have some assorted artifact fixers (possibly more than these):

Prophetic Prism
Prismatic Lens
Wayfarer's Bauble
Sphere of the Suns
