This card feels kind of like what I might design if I was parodying this forum.

"What's the worst card we can make that riptide cube designers will put in their cube?"

A trinket, that self-mills, but only self-mills, and "enables" baron decks?

Obv, I'm thinking about running it.

I did run Perpetual Timepiece in my cube for a bit.
I was the only one I ever saw run it in a deck, but it was fun with Crawling Sensation.

That's... a freaking weird card. I think it's good? Kind of like a Seal of Doom that shuffles itself back in. I'm tempted to slot her in over Hostage Taker.

I love the flavor here, she's the literal embodiment of a sneak kill, vanishing into the shadows to strike again at an uncertain point in the future.

Lol. If retail limited is about CABS (Cards Affecting Board State), then the Riptonian ideal is about CRABS (Cards Rarely Affecting Board State or Cards Reluctantly Affecting Board State)

I like Browbeat, it's a fun card. Fits well into the 7-bolts plan. This should be cool.

Stop being excited, this is a punisher card! That has some discard synergies because of the jump-start mechanic. And asks your opponent to take 4 damage twice. And turns a useless land in the mid or late game into either four points of burn or three cards, which is both good, right? Right!?

Risk Factor looks like it's over the line to 'good punisher card', that line where it's a very difficult choice for the opponent. Neat!

At first, I considered Healer's Hawk, than it got kicked out by Hunted Witness ... now they give me this, which seems even better with my Boros GoWide aggro decks, while having some applications in slower token decks and maybe even lifegain.

Can they please stop giving us so great 1-drops in this set? They're not even rare ...

Is Haazda Marshal that good? Attacking with battalion still takes some work, and you need to be in a position where you can just swing in with a 1/1.

Nah I do not think it will make it into even the lowest of power cubes. But I do like that they put a single batallion into the set.

Just like they put one annihilator into Battle for Zendikar

Boros Elite has been better than expected. And this guy needs to create one token to be worth it I'd say. Inagine turn 1 Haazda Marshall into Raise the Alarm or Gatter the Townsfolk into Glorious Anthem or Path of Barvery. Sounds good to me. And in the midgame, when it has no good attacks as a 1/1 anymore, it seems like a nice target for a Vulshok Morningstar or something. I'm definitely giving it a test run.

Of course. Three cards, one blocker or disruption spell....My point being that Reckless Charge is crazy good with the Mage.
