I definitely don't think you need that many lifegain cards and Loxodon Warhammer is already in there and Kitchen Finks does Centaur Healer's job already. Essence warden/Sledge could be a good idea though as Pridemates can really only excel in Black/White right now

The pridemates also work really well with Knight of Meadowgrain, Nearheath pilgrim and any doublestriker, archangel of thune, and the gift of orzhova. Among the green cards, there are the scavenging ooze, that reads G: gain life, pump all relevant critters, ALL of your critters with Thune, same thing with Deathrite, Jitte, and two of the swords in the cube at the moment. I hope I'll be able to pull a draft this weekend, I might put a soul warden in until then to test it out. I'm not sure I want to go Naya deep, but searing meditation is an interesting card, and kind of a unique effect. I don't like behemoth sledge for some reason, and I'd rather run two kitchen finks add a centaur healer, because really, that card doesn't speak to me at all.

I do appreciate all the suggestions!

This sounds pretty solid. I hate the sledge too. Although, playing Jitte for "synergy" is mildly laughable. :p

I'm excited you're exploring in this direction. I had planned multi-pridemate for a budget cube of mine.

Yeah, I'm planning on running a sphinx, eventually. I just want to make sure that UW control isn't too strong already, since I have added some wraths and whatnot.

Martyr of sands seems very narrow, a bit too narrow for my taste.

In the draft yesterday, I first picked a whip of erebos and thought that I'd go for the lifegain deck, while across the table another player opened up archangel of thune as his first pick, and we both ended up forcing lifegain, which didn't pan out too well for either of us in the end.

More clerics than you think:

Maybe it's time to up some of the numbers of these lifegain cards? That was the problem with drafting Scars of Mirrodin. If there was only one person at the table drafting poison it was awesome but add in a second one and you have 2 people with really mediocre halfway decks.

I'll be putting in a soul warden, and I'm probably adding high market to the utility land draft. I want to add lone missionary too, since a bunch of arvhetypes would be interested in at leadt trying to wheel it. I think I'll give it a draft or two more before I shake this theme up any more, since one draft does not a big sample size make.

One thing I'm going to change is putting fiendslayer paladin in over something that I don't like. I like the take on protection, and the first strike lifelink can be relevant.

I run basics from a whole lot of different sets. When I've seen it played, it usually makes about seven tokens.

Made some small changes over the last couple of days with cards I had lying around.

Out > In

Mirran Crusader > Fabled hero
Twilight Drover > Elite Vanguard (Might change this guy to a second hero of the pantheon)
Kiki-Jiki > Manic Vandal - More artifact destruction, less infinite combo
Akroma, Angel of Wrath > Angel of Serenity - 1 less cc, more immediate board impact, still interesting to reanimate, more decisions.
Jaya Ballard > Masked Admirers - Less red, more green, and I really want those elves to work, maybe if I put the pods in or something?
Jackal Pup > Heartwood Storyteller - Less red, more green, and he is a cool guy. He has worked before, but was cut at some point.
Tattermunge Maniac > Far//Away - Bad and boring card for cool and good card.

I am pondering if I should cut spellstutter, pestermite and scion of oona, and put in three delvers. IMO that should be enough for a counterburn deck with guttersnipe and young pyro in it.
