Played a long-fought G1 and a less spectacular G2 against safra with two non-blue grindfests! Here is what I played:



In hindsight, Utopia Sprawl was a waste of action (should've been Mind Stone just to cycle) and the Vault of the Archangels should have been Kessig Wolf Run. I stayed low on legends (Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni and Aurelia, the Warleader in the board) since safra picked up Karakas in the Utility Land Draft, which had my deck playing less threats than I would've wanted. I recommend for all MTGO-playing Riptiders to try out a grid draft: they are a unique way to play limited with fun cards and *free*. (Plus, the micro metagame is out of this world silly; I played Drown in Sorrow primarily to deal with Mother of Runes.)

Thanks for posting the stream. Both those decks look sweet.

I wanted to give some feedback on the stream: the music was a bit loud, loud enough to the point where it was making it hard to follow your commentary, and while the camera was positioned fine during the games, when you were deck building it was cutting off part of your face.

I liked the overlays, and your actual speaking voice was clear and conversational.

I was wondering what people think of music during streams in general? Its nice in the moment, but twitch has a habit of blocking out huge portions of the recording.

What do you think about upping the match clocks? It has to be challenging to be both commentator and pilot at the same time, and you were really squeezed for time at the end.

I'm still trying to get a handle on audio levels. I like having the music there, I just think I need the mic to come in louder and the music to be a little quieter. the only songs that got filtered from my queue were popular ones, guess vaporwave is the way to go? match clocks could be upped, maybe, but I wanted to play those matches to get used to streaming and playing Magic at the same time. I think I got better at that; I also think I need to focus on tighter play in general.

I agree with Grillo that the music was a bit loud, but I like how streamlined the stream is. I prefer music to be playing if it's just like something instrumental though, makes it easier to listen to player commentary while filling in dead air. I think twitch has blocked out a lot of the audio on your stream when I went to watch a few minutes ago, but I do like your commentary for the bits and pieces I could actually hear it. Great job!

I prefer no-music streams so I can just listen to my own music adjusted appropriately to the streamer's audio levels. I guess I wouldn't feel that way if anyone listened to pornogrind and played bad draft formats well...
