I recently got into Vulfpeck, thanks to a new flatmate who is pretty obsessed with them. I'd heard a few songs before, but I didn't get them until we sat down one night and watched through this whole concert:

Fuck. I discovered Miracle Musical yesterday, and they have exactly one album, and it's amazing, and it's not available on CD. I hear you, you bunch of youngsters. Suck it, I still like CD's
I recently picked my guitar back up after nearly a decade hiatus. So I’ve been spinning an old favorite album of mine. Polvo - Celebrate the New Dark Age. I love the whole album.

Back when I lived in Pittsburgh I was friends with one of the previous members of Dirty Projectors. That said, I couldn't quite get into that album with the choco-waffle cover, and traded it to a friend. I do like The Gun Has No Trigger though.
Your original post in this thread was about the projectors and is what prompted me to post since I’d been listening to that one song on repeat
I really enjoy Longstreth’s playful approach to song composition...they slip and slide through multiple genres in a single song, cartoonizing, warping, twisting....so fun
I’ve been a fan of there’s since I stumbled across this video nearly 15 years ago. I don’t like all of their songs but there’s usually a handful on each album
Apparently I just say the same shit I said 8 years ago.

One of my favourite groups have just released two killer songs. They haven't done anything I've liked since 2012 so I'm really excited for a new album, if it sounds like this!

I'm not really convinced people tend to listen to what gets posted in these threads, but regardless, here are some of the albums that effectively define my music taste. If you want to listen to people sing, you've come to the wrong place.
First off is the second album by CLANN, Seelie, which was produced by Seb McKinnon. Yes, that Seb McKinnon. It has a very unique soundscape that brilliantly captures the enchanting atmosphere of Seb's trademark dark fairy tale aesthetic.
Second off is Myrkur's Folkesange, which escorts you to the olden Scandinavia with a wide array of folk-inspired songs that makes my heart yearn for the romance of a simpler and more beautiful time that probably only exists in my imagination.
Leech's FBOFW is probably the most impactful album throughout my journey, as it's what transitioned me into a love for more abstract atmospheric pieces, and the Post Rock genre as a whole. Their pieces are simultaneously soothing and exhausting, and I love the relentless anticipation that builds in several of their tracks.
Finally I'm going to give a shoutout to The Cataclysm by Coldbones, which is a treat every time I listen to it. It rumbles like a volcano for 40 minutes straight with consecutively delightful tracks, before Extinct erupts and punctuates the album with a great climax.
As an aside, my Eurovision top 5 is:
1) Norway 1995 - Nocturne
2) Iceland 2019 - Hatrið Mun Sigra
3) Ireland 1996 - The Voice
4) Georgia 2010 - Shine
5) Still looking

I actually own the Dawn of a Century album by Secret Garden. It's not the one that features Nocturne, but their Eurovision performance did lead me to this album

I've seen the name before, and I've probably listened to some of their works. I did enjoy Mr. Beast. It's sometimes hard to keep track of the different artists though, a lot of them blend together in my head and it becomes difficult to know what I have and haven't heard before, they're not as easy to distinguish between compared to songs that actually have language.
