This one is my favorite:

There will be 200 new cards in this set. They will be available in the 4 commander decks and extra collector boosters. I am quite excited for this set as I like Dr. Who. The Tenth Doctor card is pretty mediocre, though, so I worry that trend will continue for the other Doctors. It's cool enough to be considerable but not good enough to be a long-term Cube inclusion. Here's to hoping that the Eleventh and Twelfth Doctor's cards will be as good as their art!

these cards look hella bad, which is fine, people who wanna run them will be able to run them cheaply and have fun doing time counter shenanigans.

the tardis frame is cute so here's hoping there's at least one or two good 'uns that get the cute frame. time travel cantrip would be nice

I mean, they're basically just keywording clockspinning for a deck that is full of that effect. Is that really worse than writing out "For each suspended card you own and each permanent you control with a time counter on it, you may add or remove a time counter" on two dozen or so cards?
Ya. Maybe it becomes a thing. I'm skeptical, given the history of how good it is to suspend cards. Probably a ton of nothing.

I'm pretty stoked over here! I really did enjoy Suspend (I built an Izzet block deck back during TSP that cared about it..) It wasn't great, but that probably describes *A LOT* of mechanics until they do a Commander deck that actually cares about, and applies NEW card design and modern power level to, that theme/mechanic. I am cautiously optimistic..

In 23 years of MtG (and literally hundreds of decks) I think I maybe built *a single* Jeskai deck (thinking about it now, that is rather stunning!) but Timey Wimey also includes the only three doctors/Seasons I ever watched, so it was really a total non-choice for me.

Also--Did anyone else see we are getting NEW PLANES/PHENOMENON!!!! <3 <3 <3 We are cubing with Planechase cards regularly now..it's pretty interesting.

Honestly with how well they did with the 40k decks, I'm cautiously optimistic.

And TBH, watching Gavin go over the reveal, I found myself going "Huh, that makes a lot of sense" a lot. I'm no EDH player nor whovian, but if you're making something that resonates with the crowd AND might have a few Necron Deathmark style goodies for me to play with? Yeah I'm interested.

Also I think the frame is awesome, aesthetically and flavorfully.

why do they keep making frames/styles that are so hard to grok the underlying color of the card?
Honestly, I think it's because the point of the special frames is to look cool more than be functional. I don't think WOTC was initially expecting people to just use alternate frame cards in their deck when they started doing these back in 2015, especially given the fact that they were rarer than normal Mythics to start with. Remember Hazoret the Pervert Fervent, anyone?

Personally, I think frame creep is mostly a problem when frames that obscure a card's characteristics show up in draft sets. I am not looking forward to the alternate frame Coin cards in Lost Caverns of Ixalan because of how difficult they are to tell apart.

What is this?

These are different magic cards, despite what the game would have you believe :p

On the one hand I get it, but on the other hand it is the big blue box. It's not a great general use frame, I'm happy the tardis frame basically only exists in a place where people might be more willing to make functionality concessions for aesthetics.

arent those cards just fancy versions of the free spell you get when you go second?

Onderzeeboot

Ecstatic Orb
You get one coin for getting to a certain point in your collection for a given (modern) set. I found that if you play regularly and buy your boosters, buying the corresponding mini-set will get you over the threshold to earn the coin skin. The other skin unlocks on the paid rewards track.

You mean these?

They're ok I guess. Something like 25% of my creatures in green are elves, plus a few notable gold cards, so I can imagine a scenario where the Elk actually has a better ACS than Prime Time, which is super impressive for an Elk. Would kill for more cube-worthy elk!

As for the blue one, noted hot-taker steve_man_64 pointed out that it's just a worse All-Seeing Arbiter, which I definitely agree with. Worse is not necessarily a bad thing for a cube curator, as it gives us more tools at different gradations of power-level, but I think you could've rewritten this card to be 95% similar to what it is now and 1/3 of the amount of text, so I kind of resent it. Neat art, though.

I actually have a 80% finished article complaining about Titans in Cube that I should really finish up here.
