    Hm, I think people are maybe forgetting that cube is just a box of cards? Certainly there's no enormous flaw in having a ton of lessons and learn cards in a format, otherwise WotC wouldn't be printing a format like that, so you can just make a cube that features the same kind of environment...

    Hanna also costs 6 mana before you get anything back, and the body barely makes an impact on the board. Banish costs the same and at least provides better bodies!

    I wasn't just thinking about novelty! I think for instance Decisive Rejection managed to get a really nice UG card by combining a counterspell with a fight spell. I don't think we've had that before? Small things like that.

    That's super interesting! Its a mechanic that's easy to accuse of being "digital first design", and while it's certainly easier with double faced cards in a video game than in paper, it's interesting to hear it dates back 10 years ago.

    And honestly that's like, a really elegant design? Fight spells are great green cards and counterspells are great blue cards, so I appreciate them just jamming the two of them together inte a green blue card. edit: Since when did UG be GU? Has it always been this way? Doesn't seem to follow...

    "Bodily Investigation" Sorcery Create a 0/0 Blue and Green Fractal creature token. Put X+1/+1 counters on it where X is the number of cards in your library. This made me chuckle! It's going to be chumpable, but god it'll be really fucking big most of the time.
