And strip mine too. Yeah, those are expeditions. Nissa and Chandra both look playable. The fact that Nissa looks playable should also be evidence that Curse of Predation is probably too good to be in my cube.

General When Is Fixing Too Good?

I'm going to try this and see what happens. I usually feel that SOMETHING is off in my cube's distributions, but I'm not really sure what it is. While this certainly isn't a foolproof way of finding out, it can't hurt.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I recently mulled Gift of Estates and decided against it. The card is asking a lot and its not like you have a playset of Mox Diamonds in your deck to take advantage of it. I'm playing tithe, it has a lot more going for it.

    FlowerSunRain's Cube

Flickering Ward is definitely the best of the bunch. Mana Bloom is playable. Its 1 mana to trigger constellation once a turn, but it also can ramp you early game. Black is the trickiest. I tried some narrow stuff with it like Glistening Oil and some custom. . . . that I can't remember, but...

    FlowerSunRain's Cube

Flickering Ward is great, we like it. I wouldn't call it oppressive. I mean, its powerful and has been the deciding factor in games, but it doesn't completely outclass or obsolete anything.

General When Is Fixing Too Good?

Yeah, it is super environment dependent. Both my friend and I run separate piles for lands and the effects on our drafts are very different. His "retail limited bomb" format tends towards trying to play 4 color, because the environment is relatively slow and running all of the best 4 drops and...

General Decks that have 3-0'd your cube

RESPECT THE SABER ANTS OR DIE BY THE SABER ANTS!!! Pinatas is one of the favorite themes in my cube, but it hasn't taken the 3-0 yet. I don't think its even 2-1'd. All of the individual cards have showed promise, but it seems that trying to put a bunch of them into critical mass has diluted...

Yeah, your right. When I see Eldrazi I totally zone out. I guess mirrorpool could get thrown in the utility binder.

OGW is 2/2 so far. I know no one else other than I likes Grove Rumbler, but I think this works even better for what I want to do then it does. It doesn't attack for 11+ trample are a scapeshift, but its a more interesting card.

No. I have two groups of people I play with, but no one from either posts on here.

    General The Constructed thread

Is punishing fire good in modern? I don't know anything about modern, but its good in legacy. It seems like a natural fit for this deck, but if the format is all burn/combo/tron then I guess its not useful.

Unfortunately, so is Cartel Aristocrat. Fuck it, I'll just run all of them. And Athreos. I'm sure it won't have any negative consequences.

Card/Deck How to execute a minimalist Enchantment theme

If I didn't custom up a few of cards for it, I doubt it would have worked. 7(!!!) of the enchantment creatures I run are sharpied. However, that new enchantment/demon from commander is pretty epic, so that's one card down. But, yeah, if you aren't running auras as a crossover, I'd imagine it...

    General Minor Graveyard Support

Some of the fringe benefits of playing gravecrawler type cards is that you can play innocent blood and not feel bad. Coincidentally, that's also a removal spell control decks love! Win/win! Smallpox works really well here too, but I'm not sure control decks that want to play Smallpox exist in...

Then don't call it 7 drop. I tried that card out in my pox/zombie deck as a backup sacrifice machine for when my carrion feeders get nuked, its pretty good.

    General Minor Graveyard Support

Yeah, that's another good option, but its a one mana 2/1 that can't block and comes back to life, which we already have plenty of, so if entomb doesn't have other play to it we basically have convoluted gravecrawler #5. Vengeful Pharaoh is another good option.

Stuff I would entomb (with reanimiation) and not feel bad about: Life from the Loam Squee, Goblin Nabob Vengevine Roar of the Wurm I guess that new centaur in the above post works. Maybe: Genesis Skaab Ruinator Wonder There's a few more that you can use for entomb for profit, but its...

    General [Design Discussion] Perfect Imbalance

Eidolon of Blossoms draws you a card when you play it, so you don't have to wait for it to be a bad elvish visionary. Its a bad Elvish Visionary immediately.
