Those are some good points. I had forgotten they needed a way to reduce the cost of snow basics.

MH1 gave us 13 new Sliver cards and 21 new Snow permanents, which I find baffling. Why print Slivers into a draft format instead of the yearly commander precons? And how did Snow permanents of all things get greenlit for a revisit?

This seems like the best green two-drop attacker since... Scavenging Ooze? Wild Mongrel? In an aggro deck this is just always going to be attacking as a 4/4

Vesper Lark sounds like the protagonist of an erotic novel. What's the best we can do with a turn 2 Vesper? Put Trostani's Summoner into play? Phantom Nishoba?

Mentor of the MeekBygone Bishop These feel like white's most successful forays into direct card advantage to me. Color pie bends that seem totally appropriate. Compare them to the Beast Whisperer effect - they only work on small creatures, and aren't free. Green gets unbounded, explosive draw...

Designing a fun & balanced limited enviro where planeswalkers are that plentiful is quite the challenge. I'm excited to see what they came up with but I wont be surprised if it's a complete mess

This is all true, but I'd still rather die to an inferno jet or whatever. With falters, it's like I tried to build a deck with play against attackers - by trying to block - and you have one card in your deck that invalidates that

It's not a play pattern i would be looking to promote. I'm kind of surprised wizards keeps printing cards like Cosmo Wave and tempest caller. They're big groaners even in retail limited

I tried Field Surgeon out in peasant, but it only lasted one draft before being cut for being too strong and too much of a pain to deal with. It effectively had pro-green and pro-red, since damage based removal was all those colors had.

Manamorphose has worked for me in part thanks to cards like warfire javelineer, rise from the tides and beacon bolt. Admittedly that's still pretty narrow, but at least there's a flavor of spells matters that doesn't just begrudgingly run it, but activately want one

Windrider eel doesn't seem quite on the same level, but I'm curious if you could get enough of these evasive landfall dudes to support a combo element for landfall. Like making a 20/20 with scapeshift or something

song of freyalise Even tho ramp and overrun effects are squarely in green's color pie, Song seems different somehow - less braindead, more skill-testing, more of a challenge and a puzzle during deck building. Am I way off?
