I agree, they're a sweet idea nicely realized but for cube the power level and consistency of hitting the transform is rarely there. Even Delver of Secrets can be inconsistent jank in cubes that don't emphasize instant/sorcery spells-matter. I'm running and liking Cloistered Youth so far...

This is especially true if you're looking for cards that are ONLY useful as defensive stop-gaps. Right now I'm running Serene Master, Fog Bank and Stuffy Doll, having cut Cathedral Membrane among others. I can't recommend the limp Fog Bank. I prefer stuff like Serene Master over Wall of Omens...
