Faldorn, Dread Wolf Herald
The actual commander decks were not the most exciting, this card is the only one I am debating. I like her low floor and her high ceiling, she works great with adventures, rebound, and red's typical way of drawing cards, and she's completely obscene with madness cards...
Considering the numbers are 9, 9, 11, 12, 13, it's more like Abzan and Temur got the short end of the stick, somehow. Abzan also has the fewest cards that are tri-colored, so there truly is no justice in this world.
The morph deck has no impact on it. BUG's extras are Tatsunari, Ana Battlemage, Jorn, God of Winter, Savage Gorilla and Urborg Elf, compared to RUG's sole Rattleclaw Mystic. The remaining cards for each belong to the same cycles.
the opportunity for fame and riches is still available
june 21 is summer solstice btw if the statement in the op puzzled anyone
For what it's worth, and I don't typically disclose hints so to speak, but considering it's more of an ideological one, I will say that I am largely a magic purist. If...
Things I like about the card:
- Mana cost
- P/T
- Haste
- Triggered ability
- Sacrifices artifacts for a benefit
Things I very much do not like about the card:
- The spellbook and the implications it has on a physical draft
PROBABLIES
Rescuer Chwinga
Gut, True Soul Zealot
Inspired Tinkering
Livaan, Cultist of Tiamat
Baba Lysaga, Night Witch
Rescuer Chwinga is an open-ended tool that is useful both to protect key cards and reuse useful etb effects across the spectrum, and it also has flash, which is an ability I...
I don't know if I'd call it "wicked powerful", you need a reasonable amount of investment into making it worth the squeeze, and there are a lot of dumb things you can do with a consistent treasure flow. It doesn't seem to be much at all comparable to a card like Professional Face-Breaker, which...
I think what I've realized is that if it just was a goblin piker instead of a gray ogre I'd be all over it and I'd still consider it to have a pretty reasonable power level.
this is a multiplayer set why are all the creatures so bad aaaahhh
I'm undecided on swashbuckler. I want more treasures in my environment, they help produce "big turns" which are important for some of my archetypes, it's random artifact support, and the double strike works well with the bursty aggro decks I want to facilitate.
But it's also ultimately a pretty...
In some ways, that's one of the easier parts, it just requires being opinionated. Designing a cube is a lot like designing a game. What's one of your best tools when doing that? Design goals. They give you direction for your decisions and give you a metric to judge your product by...
There are now two cards I am interested in. (It's an Aviary Mechanic with flash.)
I've given this card some consideration because the idea of finding a raise dead with stoneforge is a neat idea, but the card as a whole doesn't really do it for me. I hope there's still some adventure equipment...
Artifacts are commonly considered excellent glue for cube designers, having a lot of play space in both lower-end and higher-powered cubes, with their colorless nature and swath of random utility effects making them easy role-players to slot in. Enchantments on the other hand, even losing out to...
