Card/Deck Start your Engines: A Temur Card Advantage Deck

I think you might be fine for R/G tie-ins. Double wildfire without tons of mana fixing is pretty great already. I was thinking maybe try flame slash and roast for removal, as aggro can run those but they fit better in slower R/x midrange or control decks. One other card I think you are...

Card/Deck Start your Engines: A Temur Card Advantage Deck

For question #2 I would just keep an eye on things and see how they play out. Maybe we can do some grid drafts (just the draft) and see how those decks look. Question #1 is really hard to answer in a forum post. I kind of touch upon it here in this post I just made about my R/G decks. This is...

General Changes to The Pro Tour Payouts

I think you misunderstood what I meant. I'm not a stat junkie, metagame watcher, or optimizer. I'm a casual player, and I (like many casual players) just don't care about the lore or haunted houses or escape rooms. I had literally no idea that they were doing an escape room as some sort of...

There are no monthly fees, but you have to pay a one time fee when you open the account.

General Changes to The Pro Tour Payouts

Its not a question of whats the best or worst way of being represented: its being ran off your demographic because you can't compete with your competitors due to missing the market shift towards digital platforms. I don't know anything nor care about the escape room you mentioned, but I did...

    The Penny Pincher Cube (360)

RG: Control Ramp/Power Matters aggro. This kind of helps flesh out the RBG and RUG decks as well. R/G Ramp Stormbind This is a deck that seeks to abuse several factors unique to the list, and is one of two focused big mana strategies that somewhat overlap. Though it can easily splash...

General Changes to The Pro Tour Payouts

Look...if you're cutting payouts to your "pro players" who are supposed to be a big draw to your giant quarterly marketing event trying to pass itself off as a legitimate tournament...that is not a good sign for the health of the pro tour. It also doesn't look great for the future of the game...

Card/Deck Start your Engines: A Temur Card Advantage Deck

The three effects like this I like the most are: vessel of nascency scout the borders satyr wayfinder Being able to grab a land as a smoothing play seems really important, though you also want to be able to grab other things. The extra {1} on scout might be backbreaking however.

    The Penny Pincher Cube (360)

I feel like karmic guide would feel more at home in a dedicated 2005-2008 rare cube, which wouldn't be a bad idea to build at all. That card is very powerful. I'll run stonecloaker: enough people have recommended it at this point that I figure it deserves a shot.

Those all should be fine to replace. You could try reflector mage for grand arbiter, though that might be a bit nuts. Alternatively their is lyev skyknight, which was perfectly serviceable before. Grand arbiter is there as the ultimate familiar, and because whites average CC tends to be...

Card/Deck Start your Engines: A Temur Card Advantage Deck

Really good discussion, a few thoughts: 1. Ramp and Control can easily start to feel like they overlap, since both archetypes have an interest in obtaining mana superiority. Some thought should probably be given to how to create a range within R/G/x that a player will likely be inclined to...

    The Penny Pincher Cube (360)

Here is the situation. I ran mangara of corondor originally because it looked like a nice general purpose answer that could hit artifacts and enchantments. It slipped my mind that it could hit bouncelands, which would be investigating, until I played against it. I kept it in because white has...

    The Penny Pincher Cube (360)

Ugh, I just looked at TCG player and it had a giant price spike this month >.< Evidently its because of a speculative buyout due to the sword unban in modern. I don't mean to rant, but this game just disgusts me sometimes. Muddle is a legitimately great card because you can transmute for the...

    The Penny Pincher Cube (360)

Just as a general note about cuts/adds, to make this process more streamlined. There are tons of potential cards I could run in the cube. The question should be less "is this card suitable, is it good, does it have interesting interactions" which gives me very little direction, or focus...

    The Penny Pincher Cube (360)

Telling time is a cantrip to smooth out your early game, I would be more interested in replacing that with another such effect, were I to replace it. Snap is a better card, so I would have to be persuaded that the power downgrade was justifiable, and would improve decks rather than make them worse.

    The Penny Pincher Cube (360)

I took all of the feedback from the grid drafts we did, and am putting forward an updated iteration. Its basically a big balancing patch, though these won't be final until I get take it for a few runs. I discussed some of the changes a few posts ago, but here is what I settled upon: Out...

General [Grid League] Penny Cube Grid League

I think the thing that I'm most worried about from doing other small set cubes is the lack of a print run, which means you can just get weird pools of cards: removal saturated pools or removal light pools etc. I was thinking of condensing it down from 360 to make the pools feel more...

Epitaph golem looks great, especially when you consider that it can suddenly become a flying, trampling, regenerating, vigilant 4/6 out of nowhere. If only junktroller could attack.
