    Well, they did attempt the 2 set block paradigm, which was also an attempt to fix that problem (sets last for less time, and rotations are more common)

    I guess it would be slightly better in aggro decks that contron decks if the exiled card had to be a creature. That would be reasonable, but still much weaker

    I get the feeling exile 2 would make it too weak for my environment, but not sure. I kind of like that it works so well with fetches, because fetch + shock hurts. But I also like my double fetch double shock (you start at 15-17 life) environment

    I'd be fine with it either way, I just wish they would wait longer to bring back expert set mechanics. Though I don't really have a problem with simple ones like prowess just becoming evergreen

    I'm just way more into mechanics than flavor, and I would rather have seen a new mechanic than basically the same thing again with the flavor tweaked. Are there any eternalize creatures that start bigger and eternalize small?

    Angel of Sanctions Lots of value, but embalm isn't free. Gives creature back if Doom bladed, but "draws a card" when it dies.

    Thinking about ETB effects that don't provide immediate value. This doesn't fail the doom blade test, but it gives your opponent time to prepare for whats coming next, as opposed to an immediate ETB value effect.

    I'm not sure idea what he's talking about with the whole "low power formats are good, high power formats are good, but medium power formats are bad" thing. Tangent: Power is not just relative. If every creature had 20 power, magic would be a very different game.
