General 'walkers and "everything costs 4"

I've never been impressed with Vess. She just doesn't do much. On the other hand, I think LotV is one of the very best cards for cube.

    GBS

Never read anything on Lesswrong except for Yudkowski. He has some decent introductory pieces on biases and Bayes. Ironically, I'm biased in that regard since that's pretty much what I studied during my masters. edit: Oh wow, didn't realize it was a community. Auch. I was talking about stuff...

    Forum Aesthetics and Usability

One thing really, since this seems to have been revived slightly. After the first deluge of e-mails which absolutely crapped my mailbox, I ticked off the automatic e-mail notifications - however, the first batch which were autoflagged to be sent were still pouring into my inbox, so I had to...

Putting the Hristm back in Christmas

I'd be damned if I knew which were solely local fauna and which had a shot to be legitimately understandable, I just ran them through a dictionary :P

Putting the Hristm back in Christmas

My experiences are thoroughly uninteresting, except for the annual snaps-making. This years variants: Sea Buckthorn, sloe, lovage, fennel/tarragon, and rye bread. I wholeheartedly recommend making your own spirits. You can do it with vodka if you're not a fan of the Danish national beverage.

    General Stupid Judge Question Thread

Yeah, that's correct. For a less ludicrous example, we actually had the same principle come up with Grafted Wargear and a Mishra's Factory.

    General Stupid Judge Question Thread

You have animated an Erebos with an Animate Dead on, you meet devotion, someone casts a StP on the Erebos. Crafty as you are, you sacrifice Animate Dead to your Auratog, dropping you below the devotion requirement for Erebos. Not realistic you say? PSH!

    Konge's Cube

We proxy all lands, simply by sharpied guildgates. It's a surprisingly elegant solution since it conveys immediately which colors it is. I've been hesitant about "true" proxies, since I don't really have any means of doing it except for stick a piece of paper in a sleeve over an ordinary card...

    Article ChannelFireball: Microsealed

Nice to see it in a succinct writeup rather than the fleshing out in the dedicated thread. I'll definitely give this a try, we often cube just two people and it'll be a nice change of pace. I hope we'll get a bunch of reports in this thread, should be fun.

    Konge's Cube

True dat. I'm really rooting for a Damnation reprint in Born of the Gods or Journey into Nyx, because atm it's just a tad too expensive. Toxic Deluge has been fantastic, and one more sweeper would really help.

    Konge's Cube

Hehe, I mainly added the disclaimer because I definitely understand the points, and it's certainly on the watchlist for degeneracy. Mostly, it's just a sunk cost fallacy - I just spent money on the card, after all ;) Funnily, the most complaints out of the last session was made by the player...

This must be the most miserable deck I've ever made. Also, 4th pick Library

    Konge's Cube

That is a very good point. Off the top of my head, I'm looking at Doom Blade or Diabolic Edict. Since True-Name Nemesis was added so recently*, I'm inclined to keep the Edict for now. Coincidentally, this also brings the discussion, sort of, back to Consuming Vapors. What are people's...

    General Making Blue Do Things

We ran Pestermite for a while, just because it's so modal. However, it was often disappointing and ended up being cut.

    Konge's Cube

I tend to agree. Pox might be the eponymous poster-child, but it rarely makes the cut. Smallpox and stax effects are much better. One thing I didn't bother to ask was whether Night's Whisper would actually be worth cutting something for. Do anyone have any experiences with it?

    Konge's Cube

To be fair, I would love for it to have either Thoughtseize or Inquisition of Kozilek to accompany it, but I find that they are a bit too pricy for their effect. I have actually considered doubling up on duress before I came here (though it was definitely motivated by the very first article I...

    Konge's Cube

It's definitely been fun, but it's been in there almost since the beginning, and it's beginning to get a liiitle tiresome. However, my artifact section is a bit shabby for my taste, and it's the section with the largest list of cards I'm looking/willing to replace, so I might just give something...

    Konge's Cube

http://cubetutor.com/viewcube/4073 So, I've been hesitant to post this since it seems to embody much of what people despise on here. However, now I'm blanking on a black cut for a Night's Whisper, so here I am! Jack-in-the-mox will probably be replaced by a Chrome Mox since that was...

Firedrinker Satyr Hero's Downfall Lightning Strike Magma Jet Omenspeaker Soldier of the Pantheon Spear of Heliod Steam Augury Tormented Hero Steam Augury has been really good to us, and I would recommend it wholeheartedly. It is interactive, skill-testing, and fun while being right in the...
