    Sets (MID) Innistrad: Midnight Hunt

You can also definitely make 1/1 tokens cheaper than their normal rate of ~1 mana. 3 1/1's for 2 mana with whatever the downside is for instance.

I'm guessing MaRo means "the mana rate to put a token of a given size on the battlefield will be cheaper", not that the tokens will be less substantial than a 0/1.

restoration angel "Under YOUR control". You steal the creature, and then next turn you blink it back to your side of the field, breaking its connection to the saga and permanently making it yours.

I'd agree with act of aggression, but would question if many aristocrats decks actually need this sort of effect to 'push' them. Often that card slot being lightning bolt or one of your own creatures will be just as if not more effective at helping the deck win.

Another way that I think we are for sure looking at Mishra. What looks to be the weakstone is fairly prominently displayed on his belt, an object he carries everywhere and has been shown carrying in his belt before.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I defintiely like magmatic channeler as my red ""goyf"" over steam-kin. Channeler often comes in as a 2 mana 4/4 with little extra effort, or becomes one shortly after coming in, and also provides a card advantage engine to boot.

Regarding Mishra: He did have metal parts in his body by the time of the final stages of the brothers war, which seem to be depicted in the artwork shown to us. Also depicted here: endoskeleton

Excellent hard sci fi, and a pretty interesting plot, at least in the first couple seasons. I haven't seen all of it.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

It attacking for (up to) 12 the turn after it comes in has never sat well with me. Thats a huge gut punch for a card that is fairly easy to get out early. Compare to Titanoth Rex, which hits for less and is *much* harder to straight cast.

    "Fast" multiplayer cube

That was my argument :\ For real though, it's actually as fast as Daretti, and faster than sneak attack (but obviously less bursty than attack), being able to activate for the first time on T4, mana shenanigans aside. I also like that it interacts with any creature like Attack, not just...

Delirium is one of the best enchantment-tangential mechanics IMO, because it's asking the player to find creative ways to get card types in the Grave, and enchantments are a unique addition to most graveyards. So the most luck I've had with adding enchantments for a specific purpose is when...

It's like the artifact archetype in some ways, but enchantments are another step down in generic usefulness. They don't have the benefit of largely being colorless, and there aren't easy includes like mana rocks and baubles in nearly as high a quantity as artifacts. Additionally a lot of the...

some more of mine gurmag angler think twice They are some of the backbone mechanics of a graveyard format, and two of the most interesting keywords (overall and for GYs) IMO. They have nice tension when paired up too.

Double Strike. Makes equipment and aura more fun, and makes combat math more interesting on both sides.

I prefer the cycling overall, but these are very close contenders and Anger is also a great choice, especially if a recursive aggro theme is acting up in your format.
