I don't find any need for him. 1/1 tokens in that deck context (for me) are terrible. An X/3 flier is much more impactful (from the Drake example), and something like Magmatic Channeler is by and large going to be much more impactful and useful for the deck in that {1}{R} slot.

I have an entire UR archetype in sigh 2.0 built around utilizing this type of card :) I like the Drake style effect much better than the YP type!

This is why I am trying to limit my young pyromancer type effects. I think the Quandrix Apprentice is a good inclusion for many, but yeah agree with the sentiment overall.

You're almost never casting Skyfisher on curve if you are looking to rebuy an effect, and that's fine for it. You are still only spending the 2 mana on it, and the rest can go to recasting the ETB etc. It doesn't gain mana cost by being cast off curve and is still an above parity P/T on a flier...

It can hit any target, so it's floor is beacon of destruction without shuffle, not lava axe, and at X=2 and up, the 10/15/etc damage goes to each of the X targets. Pretty big difference, especially in multiplayer. Still not personally sure it would be worth it over something like devil's play.

@James Stevenson Is there a way to turn the auto-postifying feature off? It loads in after the rest of the page, rocketing you off to halfway up the page instead of at the new posts where you actually want to be.

It's basically "your power level as a number", which as has been discussed here on multiple occasions isn't very useful most of the time except maybe in pretty narrow discussions. A zero on the scale = a pile of random cards in a box A ten on the scale = maxed out power cube (P9 etc) The reddit...

I still refer to "Temur" decks as "RUG" decks a good portion of the time, especially if they aren't flavored anything like the Temur clan. Rug, unlike Temur, is an actual (english) word that my brain is used to saying out loud.

Abzan got me for a hot minute, but I eventually remembered it. I think they are worse sounding than the original, but that's just personal taste. They are pretty even on the memory side of things for me.

Is this really how you are constructing actual examples of your cubes? Because that's about half of the entire red section dedicated to that one effect. Or this is a little bit exaggerated to show the point.

I was just going to note the same thing as onder. I'm having a hard time distinguishing what is read and what isn't. Also, I know most people know them, but the buttons for card image, card text, cube deck, etc. were really helpful!

It still goes firmly into green, because I can't think of a green deck (in the majority of cubes) that wants to be mono-green. For a card that's even "more" green, I've been favoring nature's lore recently, which helps Gx decks keep their main fixing pivot in green, rather than in the other...

I personally like Eureka Moment the best of the three because drawing two cards is a nice effect on a 4-cost instant, and then you get to drop a land in. I'm not certain that I rank it higher than the card that didn't make the list (because drawing 3 >> drawing 2), but instant speed is nice. I...

    Card/Deck Low Power Card Spotlight

it's pretty good for signalling a heavy tokens theme in GW. By the time the "ult" pops, it's fairly easy to get at least three copy effects (barring loss in combat etc). The copy effect can really scale up if you have big tokens out like 3/3 elephants, 3/3 golems, or even 4/4 beasts
