    Innistrad Themed Cube: 360 Unpowered

It occured to me that if I were to run a card other than scholar, it probably should be village bell-ringer: human, x/4 creature, costs{2} {W}, is a combat trick, and has interesting interactions with somnophore, dungeon geists, galvanic juggernaut, and grimgrin, corpse-born. I did a spirit...

    Innistrad Themed Cube: 360 Unpowered

With the scholar of Athreos, I was trying to accomlish two things: provide a relevant 3cc blocker in white, and provide another reason for a player to go into a B/W color pairing. Order of whiteclay certaintly is the more interesting card in the abstract, but I talked myself out of that on the...

Also, spirits I don't want to forget exist, but will probably never have room for: yosei, the morning star Keiga, the tide star Kokusho, the evening star sturmgeist soul seizer dearly departed dimir infiltrator

    Innistrad Themed Cube: 360 Unpowered

Made the changes for last nights draft: went well. I ran darkblast instead of stab wound, which I think is correct: darkblast provides another piece of early interaction for the grindy decks. Celestial Crusader was a lot more impactful than dictate of heliod. Dictate was always one mana too...

    Innistrad Themed Cube: 360 Unpowered

Niblis seems strong. 2 drop, relevant creature type, evasive, and clears the way for attackers. Stromkirk noble would love it. Also, I've not played with those changes yet in draft. I am planning to implement them this week. There is some chance stab wound becomes darkblast by the time I add...

    Innistrad Themed Cube: 360 Unpowered

I'm not in love with amrou seekers myself: 3 mana and no relevant creature type. This is whats going on; in triple III draft, one of the things that made it a good format was that you had a certain density of cards that punished people for not interacting with the board. Part of the formula...

    180 cards, 3 colour cube.

Yeah, when we do 3-4 player multiplayer, with cards like bonehoard that check all graveyards, its not unusual to have it be 12/12 or larger.

    180 cards, 3 colour cube.

Its hard to say, because I've not played with the card myself. However, I think it has that potential, even as a singleton. If you draw it, your odds of winning should go way up as it powers so many interactions: madness, dredge, graveyard count cards, delve--its an engine that does...

    180 cards, 3 colour cube.

Just from my own experiences with similar cards, I would expect him to average around 5/5, with 7/7 or 8/8 being the high end. This seems like a good environment for him though, as he seems very tarmogoyf like in this setting. Your problem might be that he ends up being too good.

Yes, but if you had to pick one. Goblin guide has been considered one of the best aggro one drops ever printed. Has it been dethroned by an uncommon from Khans?

With magus of the bazaar, I think if your removal is too good he won't be a card; however, if your removal is terrible, he will be like an actual bazaar of baghdad, and thus too good.

I know I've seen a few people reference this, but if you want to see the new U/R legacy delver list running treasure cruise in action, check out here at 34:40:00 for the final match of the recent SCG open. Treasure cruise seemed amazing, and he was able to cast it multiple times...

General How Much Burn is Too Much Burn

12/360 or 3.3% 14/360 if we are count burning vengeance So your 3.5% seems reasonable to me. Your burn suite also looks pretty tame: no red X spells to kill someone from nowhere. It sounds more like the player is having a hard time adjusting to the existance of the archetype.

I support both, though I don't support birthing pod as deeply as your list does, which might account for the difference in experience. The two decks occupy very different parts of the cube space. My pod decks are also less about ETB triggers. Anyways, I'm never really happy with the way I...

Its...uh...part of the late game plan >.> These decks just make me push the greed line.

How cheapy do you think you could cast treasure cruise on average with that list? I was wondering how visions would compare with cruise.

    Eric Chan's Modern cube (405)

Is that from an actual draft? If so, thats a good sign, as you are running the absolute limit imo for delver flips. This was my go at it, much more aggro-control: www.cubetutor.com/cubedeck/200374[/url]"] Ones 1 Delver of Secrets 1 Delver of Secrets 1 Delver of Secrets 1 Pillar of Flame 1...

    General The Constructed thread

For me personally, delver has been very good, and my environment is designed to support it, but even here its been an evolution. Delver is just an advanced draft card, requiring you to move away from limited's usual creature focused draft strategies, and most drafter's comfort zone. You also...

Treasure cruise is basically ancestral recall with a conditional threshold requirement. I do think though that both cards want environments where you can fill up the yard in a hurry and arn't using it as a resource: hence the U/R delver lists where its turning the usual array of burn and...
