I'd cut Angler then. Aggressive black decks want the ability to grind for card advantage and Underworld Charger does just that. Pharika's Spawn is very good in Golgari and Sultai midrange decks so I'd want to keep her around.
I didn't mention Voracious Typhon because I don't currently have...
Ok so Thitanoth Rex got spoiled.
Yeah, that's a casual 11/11 that also is a cantrip. 9 Mana to hardcast may prove to be a little steep in my environment, but we will see. Reanimation decks could certainly make use of this.
The cycling matters cards this time around seem to have the old...
It's twofold.
First, the unblockability is usually fairly relevant in aggro. Instead of hitting in for one or two like a raging goblin, gingerbrute can deal damage throughout the entire game except for the rare circumstance in which the opponent has a haste creature.
Second, and in some...
Pharika's Spawn and Gurmag Angler both play very differently than Charger. Gurmag Angler is the type of creature you're hoping to cast directly after the first Charger Cast on turn 4 or 5. Pharika's Spawn is not an aggro card, but a midrange card. She goes in a different deck entirely.
Satyr’s...
Runic Repetition is basically never good enough in my opinion. Most flashback spells are either not very high-impact or just game winning by the second cast. I don't really want to re-cast my Firebolt for a 3rd and 4th time on turn 7 in %90 of matches. The few Beast Attack/Roar of the Wurm type...
Only ~20-ish hours until actual official previews drop! I wonder how much of this ended up being true...
(Please start a new thread instead of posting official previews here :p )
All of the adventure cards are cube playable at some powerlevel except for Garenbrig Carver and probably Oakhame Ranger.
I think the options you listed are all pretty good, I know a lot of high-powered cubes play all of those cards except for Ardenvale Tactician.
Faerie Guidemother
As...
Trample, Flying, Lifelink, Vigilance, First Strike, Double Strike, Deathtouch, Menace, Reach, Hexproof.
+Loyalty, +1/+1, and the other counter MaRo revealed. That's a total of 13.
It does seem a little weird to me that they would give Spacegodzilla a (presumably) important mythic from the set but Godzilla would only get an uncommon. Don't get me wrong, that 9-mana T-Rex could be very good, I might even play it if it's p/t is 8/8, 9/9, or god forbid 10/10, but that doesn't...
I fixed the image!
These are Boxtopper promos (i.e. Not actual cards in the Main Set), so that's why the Uncommons have the rare hologram treatment. I think these are just cards from the regular set with a Godzilla skin slapped on them to make them special and promotional. Again, notice how...
I did some more digging in the 4chan thread these came from, and someone posted a screenshot of an earlier comment!
This was posted 10 days before this thread.
All of this is real. Oh my god.
-Head Explodes-
OK, we have actual leaks with pictures now.
These came from 4chan's traditional games board originally, I found them on MTGSalvation.
Are these fake? Apparently these are all actual Kaiju monsters from Godzilla mythos. Having said that, these could be more plants to get us speculating in...
"Maelstrom" is just a Norwegian word for "whirlpool," so it isn't actually an Alara-specific thing. I bet they just used the word because it evokes the feeling of a storm and sounds high-fantasy related.
As for timeless wisdom, I think Green has a far greater "timeless" quality to it than...
So... I found this picture on reddit.
Each one of these boxes corresponds to one of the decks. I noticed that the Symbiotic Swarm deck (the one that was leaked up top) is in the box that corresponds to black mana. This is significant because Black is the shared enemy color of White and Green in...
