    Sigh, a Cube

Yeah I used that thread to help me focus a little. Completely forgot to link it though, so thanks! I'm interested in your last paragraph. How focused do you expect a GY deck to be? 12 or so cards in the deck interact directly with the graveyard, discarding cards, or caring about the GY. That's...

    Sigh, a Cube

Balancing, or Finally Stepping Far Enough Into the Road to Get Hit by the Truck that is Golgari Soooo, came to an interesting realization. Maybe. My {G}{B} decks are, in all likelihood, too strong. How much too strong? I'm not sure yet. My top drafter certainly did fantastically last draft with...

    Card/Deck The Simic Combine

Yeah, and I definitely get all that. I was more squeaking out a little bit of rhetoric, because Harmonize can get some hate around these parts. Turns out it might be a good component for making UG work? Neat.

    General Gift Shop Draft

I think the cards should be focused around more niche things and useful filler roles, and then also neat packages like '3 squadron hawks' or something. Having something like a pack of 4 accumulated knowledge makes me want to make that my draw package, thus focusing on other things during...

    Card/Deck The Simic Combine

LSV plays Harmonize over Dig through Time. Interesting.

    General Gift Shop Draft

I'd stick strongly to Onderzeeboot's suggestion of focusing on simplicity. One point value on coin cards, one step for cashing points in, etc. Wastes might be a good card to use. That's like two layers of "this card doesn't belong, oh yeah its a coin". Especially if you don't use any ordering...

    General Gift Shop Draft

Yes it does. Don't think it needs to be basic lands though. I like the idea of blank cards with numerical values and "ordering numbers" written on them.

General Emotional Spikes in Cube Design

If creature lands arent attractive for one reason or another, then I agree that the Spell Lands are a good alternative, although they don't fix. Again, agree totally with Meltyman on Wasteland. There are entire threads, formats, and ideals built around escaping the clutches of mana variance...

General Emotional Spikes in Cube Design

Creature lands have provided some really fun moments for me and mine. For being lands that can go into fixing sections, its pretty cool when one can turn into some beast or another and keep you in the game for the turn or two you needed to find that answer (Shambling Vents), or hold off some...

General Emotional Spikes in Cube Design

Definitely agree with Meltyman, especially in this regard. They really aren't useful enough to aggro or anyone else to justify being either feel bad or meh, imo. Even if the person was going to lose.anyways, at least let them feel like they played their part. I'd rather have something like...

    General Custom Cards: The Lab

This is very nicely templated :). Having one "collapse" ability makes it very easy to follow the instructions, It's one step right into the next: add counters, buh bye to everything with three counters on it. This is how we are generally taught to count groups, so it's very intuitive. Think...

General Emotional Spikes in Cube Design

Kytheon seems fair enough to me. You almost always have to spend 4 total mana (or more) to make the flip happen, and maybe suicide another creature. Thats standard investment amount for a walker, and his abilities seem to fit that investment just fine. Can even be a poor mana investment if they...

I run 7 @ 405 Of the ones listed, I like Mom and Figure. Big fan of Thraben Inspector, power level allowing Can't speak to this part Can't really speak to this either, but RW aggro is pretty popular around here, so Figure might be a good choice

    Card/Deck Artifact Creatures

Brass man and wall of tanglecord might be fine as cards, but they seem like very blunt objects compared to cards that serve other purposes, like skite (price aside). I'd rather see the pair of perilous myr Onder mentioned, for instance. They can block and burn against agro, for instance, or pull...

    Card/Deck Artifact Creatures

Artifact two drops are really the sweet spot for utility and power, imo I see in your cube list that you have quite a few more creatures than those that you mention in your OP. Your CT says 30, but not all of them belong to one module, it would seem. I'm interested, on a tangentially related...

    General Custom Cards: The Lab

I really like the souls for the symmetry of costs and effects. They are a good inclusion exactly as they are, imo. It's ok sometimes to have to branch to find synergies (like needing a discard outlet to enable immediate use of the GY spell effect)

    General Custom Cards: The Lab

That seems like an easy way to balance it. Honestly it seems like a really easy way balance fighting period. 2 mana Prey Upon + can trip seems pretty sweet

Well said! :D At least convinced me to maintain a holding pattern on old kiora for the time being. Don't fix what ain't broken, amirite? I wouldn't quite downplay new kiora as much as you might, but I still clearly see the merits of new kiora as laid out.
