I have one (the regular Urza's Saga version) in my collection. I picked it up in a reject rare draft o_O It was €10 back then, and one of our more affluent players thought it would be funny to throw it in. I think it's safe to say I got my entry fee back :eek:

Well... there aren't any Swords to Plowshares or Doom Blades in my cube, that might be part of the reason.

It's very corner case :') the real reason Mission is better is obviously because it a) cycles and b) is cheaper $-wise. For some reason Coastal Piracy is an expensive uncommon :shrug:

Coastal Piracy is inferior to Reconnaissance Mission because you don't draw a card when you deal combat damage to yourself with a creature you control!

Not that I particularly like Vintage Cube, but this was a gem :D

I love the play patterns of Kytheon though, it's so much more fun to play for me than Student of Warfare. I had them both in my cube at one point and chose to cut the Student myself.

I think the beauty of it is that the Player will look for the best ways to navigate a format. If the Designer decides to not include (too many) good ETBs, the Player will have to work with that and latch onto something else.
