The cantrip part is not bad though. Sure, it's not a great rate, because you'ld rather pay one mana to cycle a card away, but the insurance of getting it back (eventually) without resorting to reanimation shenanigans is pretty sweet.
You take that back, good sir! Kaladesh block was flipping fantastic! It has super interesting and innovative mechanics, the limited format was pure gas, the flavor was fantastic and unique, and it had loads of goodies for cube! The only things wrong with it were that they failed to discover the...
I think that depends very much on the removal in your cube. Seven mana is very atainable for control-leaning builds and ramp decks, and an 8/8 haste, trample actually hits like a brick. I've been testing it a bit, and I've been pretty pleased with it. You aren't actually trying to cycle it four...
Yeah, I really like Hydroid Krasis. Good card that definitely draws people into Simic because of its reputation, and it always performs, but it never really breaks the game. It's an exciting card that people love to play!
Yeah, I didn't really count the cards that require the Capsule to stay on the battlefield. I run cards like Master of Etherium and Tezzeret the Schemer, but filed those under 'minor interactions' :)
I still run Executioner's Capsule. In my list it synergizes mainly (there are other, more minor interactions) with...
D'Avenant Trapper
Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle
Marionette Master
Emry, Lurker of the Loch
Hidden Stockpile
Sharuum the Hegemon
Muldrotha, the Gravetide
After being initially hopeful that surely Wizards had tested these and they couldn't possibly be as format-warping as they seemed to be at first sight, I've completely turned around and I'm not planning to include the companions. Train explains it very well, so I haven't much to add, but the...
Yeah, maybe. In effect you have roughly a turn less to find a solution, and you can't choose the order in which you want to reap the benefits, but you get the first effect immediately instead of having to wait for your next upkeep.
I'm testing new additions to my cube, and this game was just too good not to share :D
I triggered Grove Rumbler 8 times in one turn (two fetches, Harrow, Farseek, land drop for the turn, Primeval Titan attack trigger), 1 off of lethal :')
I think you've got a tight exchange of ideas going on, no need to be hard on yourself Train!
Yeah, this is a valid observation! Explained like this I think you can fairly say that cubes emphasizing interactions like the latter focus more on synergy. Oh. Wait a minute. I just realized that the...
