The only real cards I proxy are the enemy fetches, because ten of those are a little bit too expensive for me. Other than that all my proxies are customs, and I've bought other expensive singles like FoW, Bob, Liliana of the Veil and Clique for my cube.

I think what would help is not defining what each color does, but what each color pair does. This worked wonders for Innistrad for example. I'll redirect you to this excellent overview! You'll probably be able to draw quite some inspiration from that list, as there's a heavy graveyard theme...

A nice read, but I am kind of sad that each example aggro-"control" deck includes Fabled Hero and the heroic mechanic. It would have been interesting to see examples from other cubes!

I think the starting loyalty might be a bit to high, given the flexibility. Having them sacrifice their only creature, gain some life, then draw five cards the next turn seem a bit too strong I think.

Yeah, I don't think Treasure Cruise is a mistake. It's definitely a good common by any standards, but nothing to be scared about in cube (or standard). I hope WotC never stops to push the envelope for fear of what cards might do in Legacy!
