I might try double Smokestack. Tasigur and Reclamation Sage are home runs. I'm pushing a durdly artifact theme kinda hard, but jury is still out on Daretti. I know CML hates him...my first impression was positive, but he's so slow that I think CML is probably right.

I added him to my cube but haven't seen him in action yet. I'm worried that he will be clunky.

I agree with Eric. If you evaluate the card on any single pair of modes for the cost, it ought to look subpar, a la Bow of Nylea. I designed a card two weeks ago in the Custom Card Lab that looks somewhat similar to this.
