    Card/Deck Tutor for a Tutor...

this kind of validates my fears… i have utility lands and creature lands, but no Wasteland or Dark Depths stuff going on, which is where you get into Crop Rotation being worthwhile. Honestly i could just run more Abundant Harvest which is kind of a really good tutor when you think about it

    Card/Deck Tutor for a Tutor...

Does anyone run Crop Rotation? And what do you use it for? I’m considering it but… all my lands are already fetchable by fetches so it seems like it may not be worth a card in a lot of cases? EDIT: i guess it does give Delve +2 and Delirium +2 so that’s a point in its favor

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

i think Inscriptions get better as you add ramp so that the kicker becomes more probable. for example if people are doing Grixis Treasures, one good payoff would be Inscription of Ruin, as the basic effects are decently on-rate in such an environment and then you have the option to kick it with...

    My Pokémon cube

cards are ordered! total cost of everything including basic energy and shipping was $120 USD which i guess isn’t bad for 500 cards?

Sets (AFR) Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Previews- Dripping with Flavor, and Excess Words!

i like the modal stuff and the goofy ability words, i want to like venturing but it’s too parasitic for me to get any use from, and i like the creature lands. i don’t like d20 nonsense. Yusri is the only straight up gambling card i need in my cube thank you very much. i do like that they made...

General (AFR) Dungeons and Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Testing/Includes Thread

Includes: Portable Hole Grim Wanderer Testing: Ebondeath Dancing Sword Ranger Class Werewolf Pack Leader Any/all of the creature lands but probably as souped up customs I can see the testing stuff rotating in and out even if they’re not awesome on first test, and it will probably be a few...

Bombardment Is this too cheeky/unfair/polarizing, or can it be a cool way to turn lands and discard-value cards (flashback etc) into damage and board control?

    "Fast" multiplayer cube

i get a lot of mileage out of Chromatic Star as a colorless cantrip to help decks in general smooth their draws, cast their splashes, hit Delirium, etc etc. it also has applications in the Trinket Mage toolbox, or can be sacrificed to Pia&Kiran or Breya since you still draw the card regardless...

Sets (AFR) Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Previews- Dripping with Flavor, and Excess Words!

yeah, this one mode is much stronger than the token mode of sublime (except you don’t get ETBs which is actually kinda big). however, i think the additional modes make Sublime superior as they’re much more generically useful

Sets (AFR) Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Previews- Dripping with Flavor, and Excess Words!

this stacks up extremely poorly against Sublime Epiphany, which provides a similar effect (make a token copy of your own critter) with 3 more modes to boot EDIT: it’s ofc not a one to one comparison as what you can copy is more broad, but you also must have more conditions met (a thing you want...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Thanks! Last night i noticed that a lot of my Red/Black stuff is based around the “second hand” type of graveyard value, a lot of my burn spells have flashback and a few of my black creatures can recur themselves from the yard, and red has a few discard outlets where you can grab value from all...

i think this is equal to or sometimes better than Morningstar, just be aware there is a nasty floor. but if your environment has lots of gas in the tank it should be fine

i do not support straight up aggro but this guy does fill that role. right now i’m looking pretty hard at Falkenrath Aristocrat and wishing Murderous Redcap cost 3 or something

    Attack on Cube (2021 Update)

had a test run with the custom creature land shocks and campus shocks. they felt really nice in the environment for a number of reasons: 1. the shockland restriction was a decent enough drawback to make us think twice about whether to fetch a utility shock or the painless basic duals 2. the...

Looking for a good Rakdos creature for high power, NOT named Kroxa (might run Kroxa but just want more options). i’ve got OG Grenzo now, but in testing last night he was one of the weakest creatures in my deck.

yeah i think if you run aggro and are ok with the floor it’s probably pretty OK. especially if your aggro decks have cantrips.

clarion spirit is awesome in my environment but this one i’m not too sure of. it takes multiple turns to become a real threat and doesn’t spread out the value across multiple bodies

    My Pokémon cube

thanks for drafting! that does sound like a strong deck, but i’m not convinced it’s the unrivaled BDIF when we also have Deluge Blastoise doing the same thing for any water/colorless attacker, Venusaur making all grass energy count double, Infernape hitting for 110 a turn for 2 energy, and...
