i agree with “why not both,” they both cantrip and ramp. EDIT: i don’t run either one, but that’s because the most expensive creatures in my format are Thragtusk and Shriekmaw. If you want to get to 6 lands in green decks these are your best two options at 2 mana IMO

lol and to be clear, in its home format i think it can actually do stuff, provided the up front cost is acceptable, because there are crazy token levels in MH2. but you would need similar format speed/power as well as similar amounts of cheap token production to make it work in a cube

i’m realllllly doubtful that that ends up doing anything outside of retail limited where there are massive amounts of squirrels to size up. it costs 6 mana to turn a 1/1 into a 4/4 flier (obviously you get a bulk discount in later turns)

true. those 3 all seem to operate in different power bands and archetype venns though, which helps because you likely wouldn’t see more than 2/3 of them in the same cube

yeah i would run Moderation in EDH and be very happy playing the mini game of trying to draw a card on each players’ turn. in cube, it’s TRAP CITY and i don’t recommend it. the floor is so, so bad. you will give a drafter a bad night by including it.
