So i hate to derail a topic (lol) but i've been thinking about a manabase for a cube that really emphasizes lands-y archetypes. This would be a cube that runs cards like Gift of Estates, Halimar Tidecaller, Liliana of the Dark Realms, Countryside Crusher, and Scapeshift. So far it seems like...

The main sticking point for me on "manlands" is there's a nice little internal rhyme structure within the word. Man-lan-ds. But anyway i'm a huge fan of your undying GB land custom! Goes great with a lot of stuff and encourages you to be more gutsy with your early activations.

There's a couple people on here who've made customs if you're interested. My group doesnt go in for that, but i could see my cube becoming an environment that wants to break singleton on them.

So now that these are all spoiled (are they out? I haven't been in a store in a bit), i wanna know: is anyone sticking with the custom versions they made before these existed?

I really like wildspeaker too btw! But if you dont have bouncelands, land enchantments, or cloudposts, he becomes less spicy and more like a loaded baked potato - great but bland. Gah now i wanna make a cube where you can go lands.dek in every color combo. Dangit Riptide!

You gotta have the synergy, though. Goodstuff drafting is gonna lead to gob-bom getting sideboarded a lot that night. That said, it's an easy synergy to obtain if you're paying attention.

I like thragtusk more, but then again i didnt play in THAT Standard. Both have cool interactions in attrition/defensive decks. If you see a lot of Gx decks that want two bodies or a stabilizer at 5, id try both unless you dont have the slots. What else do you run at green 5?
