One Pack One Pick (p1p1 thread)

Hard to go wrong with Blade Splicer - works in aggro, midrange, or control; in straight good-stuff decks or synergy decks; eminently splashable even if I don't end up base white.

Yeah, on second thought, I think I will give Zulaport Cutthroat a fair shake, and swap out Falkenrath Noble. The flying vampire is great, no question, but four-drop slots are increasingly contested, and I wanted to make room for Smothering Abomination, anyways.

Some select hits from the full spoiler: It's no Whirler Rogue, but the combination of bodies and stats are still solid! Many of us are desperate for two-drops, and this seems better than Butcher Ghoul. I actually ran Volcanic Offering for a while, and found it too good / unfun. At six...

Is reanimator supported? Cause if it is... I'd probably take the Mystical Tutor and hope against hope to wheel the Terastodon.

I'm with Lucas - I can't see myself cutting Vampire Nighthawk anytime soon. He's another one of those guys in the category of "very strong card that goes in a lot of decks" without crossing over into oppressive/unfun territory, and there tends to be so many life payment spells in black that this...

One Pack One Pick (p1p1 thread)

I'm not sure how fast this cube is, but if I was confident that I would have sufficient time to set up and Do My Thing, I'd go with Phyrexian Arena for its long game potential. If I didn't think I could durdle around, Porcelain Legionnaire would be my guy.

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Curse of Predation is probably the strongest anthem in my cube, but I like it quite a bit - it single-handedly makes green aggro more viable, is a three mana anthem that doesn't suck, encourages attacking rather than sitting back or generating a board stall (as Dictate of Heliod is wont to do)...

These lands are so much better than the non-rare utility lands from the original Zendikar block. Can't wait to see the rest of the cycle!

Scatter to the Winds might be a thing. I'm really happy with Dissolve, and I run Draining Whelk as well, which my playgroup is quickly latching onto; a card that is slightly weaker on both ends but has the flexibility to be cast for either mana cost might just do the trick.

Mortuary Mire is great - finally, another good black utility land! Skyline Cascade also seems solid, but I'm not sure if it's better than the multitude of quality existing blue utility lands.

Speaking of filler (french) vanilla guys He resembles one of my favourite cards ever - Dauntless Dourbark - and has a tree in his picture, but somehow is not a treefolk.:mad::mad:

I suspect that, for a lot of people who end up cubing Endless One, the optimal play in many games will be to cast it on {2} as a 2/2, but that (as Grillo described eloquently above) non-Spike players in our playgroups will rarely end up actually doing this. As RavebornMuse put it, this...

One Pack One Pick (p1p1 thread)

I agree - I always thought Consuming Vapors reads a lot better than it performs. If you support any amount of tokens in your cube, the likelihood of Vapors hitting something relevant goes down a good chunk. I also prefer Tragic Slip for its ability to kill pretty much anything you point it at...

Blood Artist - I love that guy too much. Probably wheel Blasting Station, as that card is powerful but narrow, and there are enough good picks here that it should still be around.

I checked my own cube list, and I was surprised to find that Inquisition of Kozilek hits more spells (217) than Transgress the Mind (165), so it's debatable whether that effect's worth one more mana to try and snatch a higher-impact spell, though it's nice to have the option. Appetite for Brains...
