    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

Having run Bow for a few months now, I still have no idea what it does, and regularly am surprised by it. It's also kinda hilarious to see it in play in the game next to you, and watch it get misplayed every other turn. When they said that Lorwyn limited had too much on-board complexity, because...

    Card/Deck Single Card Spotlight

I ran Hydra Broodmaster for a while, and was really high on him in the beginning, because in a game where you're not too far behind and aren't in danger of dying, he can plop an impressive amount of power onto the board. However, he's lacklustre in most other scenarios; he has a huge 'echo'...

I probably go Lightning Bolt here, too, just because it's versatile and I'm biased towards aggro.

Okay, now that's a land I can get behind! Love the new green six drop. Between Greenwarden and Woodland Bellower, I like the new toolbox direction that Wizards is taking green sixes in, rather than the traditional fatty fat fat.

I just realized I'm running the red god, the green god, and the red-green god... but not Boggart Ram-Gang, for some reason. Your post made me realize I need to get that fixed, stat.

Twenty years ago we had this (as a chase rare!), and we liked it Balduvian Horde

this seems like it would be a lot of fun to throw on a utility creature, e.g. a Noble Hierarch, or a value blocker, like Augur of Bolas i'm gonna put this in the Sphinx's Tutelage category of "sounds dumb, but just miiiight be worth it" and try it out

same, Mulldrifter seems like in any cube that includes Mulldrifter - high or low power - he's usually not far from being a p1p1! amazing that it was a common in Lorwyn

people need to post more packs! but in the meantime Mutavault Curse of Chains Verdant Catacombs Sacred Foundry Tasigur, the Golden Fang Honored Hierarch Priest of the Blood Rite Woodland Bellower Wooded Foothills Stomping Ground Venser, Shaper Savant Verdant Catacombs Ember Swallower...

they said earlier this week they don't want to support tribal (the type) anymore, so colorless non-creature spells won't have the subtype Eldrazi like they did the first time around

One Pack One Pick (p1p1 thread)

Yeah, probably going with a fetchland here - none of the spells in the pack jump out as all-stars or build-arounds. Might also be tempted by the Preordain, which would always make the cut in any blue deck.

It's mostly that by the time you can activate the manland at {2}{U}{G}, it'll usually be the midgame or lategame, and chances are that the board will be stalled enough that evasion would be more useful than a protective ability like hexproof. For a straight ground-pounder with a four-mana...

hmmm, Lumbering Falls looks underwhelming... but at least there's four more lands coming! Bring to Light seems custom built just for Riptide manabases! with double fetches and duals + shocks, a UG midrange deck should have converge = 3 trivially, sometimes might stretch to get converge = 4, and...

    General Fight Club

Yeah, it's certainly not the most elegantly designed card, between the non-standard counters and the fact that you have to remember if you've used it. The real reason I like it, though, over similar cards like Sylvan Caryatid and Overgrown Battlement, is that you can cast spells and block, in...

For creature-based two-drop ramp options, I maintain that this guy is still The Best Wall of Roots

    General Fight Club

Yeah, that's a good point - I was making the assumption that everyone here is on the same boat with double fetches, along with shocks and duals, but you're right that Sprawl gets a lot worse with any other manabase.
