    Sets (MID) Innistrad: Midnight Hunt

MH2 had more cards that were targeted for modern, and more cards that really aren't within the right power band for most Cubes here than the original Modern Horizons. This set is mostly flashback graveyard value in the middle of the power band, which fits very well with most Cubes here.

This might actually be a good FoF variant!

I linked it because it's a durdly graveyard value pile card for U/G landfall ;)

Have I mentioned how much I like this card?

This card is good in retail limited (and retail power level Cubes) and nowhere else.

Wow they are just printing a ton of spells that make me say: "I can't beleive they printed something this good into a Standard set." I like that they're finally powering up spells again, this is a great Cube card, especially for people on higher gold densities.

Wow this is exactly what White decks need. A good 1-drop with an excellent card advantage ability? Sign me up!

I'm really digging this cycle! I love the fact that the trigger happens upon entering the battlefield and isn't an upfront cost. It makes these cards much better against countermagic, especially taxing effects like Mana Leak. I like that WOTC has been making these pushed cycles of cheap...

    Sets (MID) Innistrad: Midnight Hunt

I'm not really seeing it. Orzhov has a ton of great options for aristocrats these days, such as Cruel Celebrant, Pitiless Pontiff, Hidden Stockpile and Cartel Aristocrat. While this new card is an interesting engine, it's mana intensive, requires a huge board, is narrow to aristocrats, and is...

    Sets (MID) Innistrad: Midnight Hunt

This is a really good card for Cubes with midrange or "fair" reanimation. It slots cleanly into a lot of different decks, has value when milled or discarded, and is still generically decent on its own. This card goes a long way to strengthening reanimator in fair environments, especially those...

    Sets (MID) Innistrad: Midnight Hunt

Uuuuuh... It looks like Sigarda and Sorin are going to have a battle. I wonder what that is about! Uh, you're not insane, this card is actually pretty good. It's not quite an actual Tarmogoyf because it only counts your graveyard and not both graveyards, but that might not be an issue by the...

    Sets (MID) Innistrad: Midnight Hunt

I think you need to have Gisa in play for her to reanimate all of the creatures, and they actually have to die in order to be exiled. I bet this is a total retail limited bomb and a fun card in EDH, but the window for interaction is large enough where I don't think it will be a problem in most...

    Sets (MID) Innistrad: Midnight Hunt

If I end up running Can't Stay Away, I'm likely cutting Silverquill Command. I thought it would be a decent midrange spell, it was only ok. Command is cool, but 4 mana and sorcery speed is more than is really palatable for my base W/B decks. It's actually on some of the warlock cards as well...

    Sets (MID) Innistrad: Midnight Hunt

Good card, probably one of the best in the set so far. This card kills utility creatures for days and gives you the ability to draw a card later to boot. Young Pyromancer? Gone. Llanowar Elves Variant? Dead. Jace, Vyrn's Prodegy? In the shadow realm. Dark Confidant? Eviscerated. Usher of the...

    Sets (MID) Innistrad: Midnight Hunt

Secrets of the Key You know, I think this card is actually a lot better than Deep Analysis. When I played deep, the fact that casting it meant I couldn't hold up a counterspell or instant speed removal meant that I kept getting put into situations where I needed to dig for answers but never had...

    General Fight Club

Fblthp, the Lost. Cantrip creatures are usually at their best when they can immediately draw the card when they come into play. Watcher needs to die or otherwise be blinked in order to provide its card value, making it a little bit weaker in strategies that desire the card more than the body...

    Sets (MID) Innistrad: Midnight Hunt

I'm surprised no one has brought up this card yet. It seems like a good 1-mana removal spell for formats where Swords to Plowshares and friends are too good, but having removal for 1 mana is still desirable. This card does a decent job at helping to counter aggro threats, and it can also be used...

    Sets (MID) Innistrad: Midnight Hunt

So the reason why they changed the day/night mechanic to use a token is so that they can have the "things are different at night" element of the set apply to single-faced cards as well as DFCs. For example, they've already shown off this card: According to MaRo: The other thing to note is...
