Is it really broken? I doubt it's better than Brainstorm considering dredge 1 is far less dangerous than dredge 4+ and is also not crazy at filling your 'yard. Or, wait. Could it dredge from it's own draw?

See, @Mown is right in terms of how I've been doing it. I check how many matches a card won per draft, which means for one use (either maindecked or brought in from the sideboard in a relevant manner) it can get 0, 1, 2 or 3 points. You @Onderzeeboot are probably right though, that game wins...

The talismans aren't even that good in my environment. In the past 13 drafts, they have all together been maindecked 28 times and they only won 30 matches. That's barely a 1.07 match win rate. At the same time, my green ramp spells have been played 54 times and collected 82 wins, which is a 1.52...

No. If certain conditions are met; most importantly, greens ramp must be better (which can be achieved by being cheaper or more synergistic or more explosive). Second, it needs to be more plentiful (you should be able to build a ramp deck without mana rocks but not without green).

It has been the new norm for me for years that my testing list for new sets is between 1 and 5 cards. Modern Horizons sets used to be an exception, but this one isn't. Themes like energy and eldrazi/colorless and the presence of dfcs made many cards unappealing for me. Many of my hopes for this...

They are like a pretty good planeswalker, coming down and immediately generatingabout a card worth of value, then continue to snowball your opponent out of the game, if they can't find a removal spell asap. And I have ptbs playing against them in retail draft.

That is a great point! I've done this in a very careful fashion here and there and it really works. Quality is more effective than quantity if you want people to draft something.
