    General [M19] Magic 2019

This is a pretty neat simic card. Interesting direction for a color pair that can be mono-drawing-cards. The fact that it leaps the creature it gives a counter to is strong.

This is pretty strong. Not the most "interesting" card, but it certainly is a good 2 drop

Another interesting addition to the spectrum of colorless removal spells/big artifacts to cheat in. Power level not the highest, but still neat.

I haven't been overly impressed with Heirloom Blade either, tbh. Whenever I get my hands on a copy, I'll likely try out sword of dungeons & dragons

Tcgplayer is about 7 bucks. 12 bucks, 9 euro, whatever, still nowhere close to 35 dollars. I've only seen one of these in one edh deck in my extensive time playing the format. There are plenty of other cards for plenty of other obscure combos.

    Sigh, a Cube

It's a 1cmc trinket that provides incidental lifegain and fixes mana. Overall meh I'll admit. That new one from M19 is probably more likely to find a spot tbh.

Mystic is still really good even just to find Bonesplitter. In my format she's finding: bloodforged battle-axe heirloom blade grafted wargear And my group seems to have the understanding that there won't be anything more bonkers than that, but it'll still be a good tutor effect. Can definitely...

    Sigh, a Cube

I'm excited to try Multani, but certainly cognisant of how powerful the card is. It's a very assertive finisher that is also quite resilient. One of the major attractors for me is that ramping him out without using lands ends up being a non-bo, which is what I want. I want him used as a finisher...

    Sigh, a Cube

Man, I've been slacking on cube updates recently. Haven't even updated for DOM, let alone Battlebond. Not enough time or energy right now for detailed analysis, but these are cards I might look at for swaps (in no particular order or guarantee of swap): brightling spellseeker multani, yavimaya's...

gravecrawler phyrexian altar :) Anyways: This is really neat! Cantrips when needed, buys you a little life buffer in the meantime, and is searchable with Trinket Mage!

I appreciate that Desecrated Tomb works off a creature leaving the GY for any particular reason. Like: Kitchen finks young wolf noxious revival watchers of the dead memory's journey unburial rites squee, goblin nabob (random card selections per each particular effect I can think of) Mostly...

shoutout to my favorite Wildfire(ish) effect, that also survives Wildfire: crater hellion

Militia Bugler is pretty neat. Lower powered Imperial Recruiter effect, but with a much more useful body of its own. I also love desecrated Tomb :)

    General Fight Club

Speels matter has been much more successful for me with the spells that matter being top-end stuff, and things like Pyromancer being more support cards in the mid-game rise from the tides devil's play hour of devastation I don't have experience with Sarkhan, but Huntmaster was really too...

    General Custom Cards: The Lab

These little corner cases where wizards restricts creative possibilities frustrate me to no end. It's a very intuitive custom, so the fact that it doesn't technically work as written by the current rules is infuriating. You could also make it work by... just having it work. It's a custom. Make...

I think when the format is designed to not do unfair things, this is probably fine. Returning two lands in a fair format can be a major cost when you can't immediately be degenerate

    General Battlebond 2018

This is really cool. A unique centerpiece of some sort of voltron-y white deck. Nice.
